Fin Bump with a Mola Mola! Newport Coast 09-12-26
I was a few miles out and was fortunate to cross paths with these two Mola Molas. One was very curious about me and the other was more hesitant. They seemed to be about 8’ from tip to tip of their fins.

Newport Beach Coast - Some Type of Shark?
I’ve never seen sharks while paddle boarding and kayaking (seen plenty surfing at T1 and SanOs) but I saw three of them last Saturday when kayaking. When you get about 10’ away from them, they take off. I saw one right outside the jetty and the other two were out a little ways. Any ideas?
