What a beautifully stunning film, i am blown away by how good this looked, i just got to see this movie in 4K and wow, The Texas landscapes, the colours, the empty roads and all those neon lit interiors give the whole thing this dreamlike feeling, There are so many shots I paused just to take them in.

I was really surprised by how much I loved the story and characters as well, Travis is such an interesting character to follow, especially with how little we initially know about him, and the way his story slowly unfolds never felt forced. The relationships between the characters gave the film a lot more emotional weight than I was expecting.

Visually stunning, but thankfully there’s a great film underneath all of it too.

I would definitely recommend this movie if you’re looking for something visually pleasing with a great story to follow!

There was a little haze, but I always love seeing the mountains on the way into Portland when I'm coming in. I swear PDX is one of the prettiest airports to fly into, especially when you're on the Mt Hood side of the plane.

Bill Murray was born in Evanston, Illinois, on September 21, 1950. He turns 76 years old on September 21, 2026.
William James Murray grew up in Wilmette, Illinois, as the fifth of nine children in a large Irish-American Catholic family. Several of his siblings would also become actors, including Brian Doyle-Murray and Joel Murray. As a teenager, Bill worked as a golf caddy and performed with a rock band, while developing his interest in comedy and theater.
After briefly attending Regis University in Colorado, Murray returned to Chicago and joined the legendary Second City improvisational comedy troupe, following in the footsteps of his older brother Brian. That experience helped shape the dry, spontaneous comedic style that would eventually make him famous.
His major television breakthrough came when he joined Saturday Night Live in 1977. Murray quickly became one of the show’s most recognizable performers, using his deadpan delivery and ability to play both ridiculous and straight characters. His success on SNL opened the door to Hollywood.
Murray became a major movie star during the 1980s with a string of unforgettable comedies. Caddyshack, Stripes, Tootsie, Ghostbusters, Scrooged and What About Bob? established him as one of America’s premier comedic actors. His portrayal of Dr. Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters became particularly iconic.
Then, with Groundhog Day (1993), Murray demonstrated that he could carry a movie while blending comedy with genuine emotional depth. His performance as the cynical weatherman Phil Connors has become one of the most beloved comedic performances in film history.
In the late 1990s, Murray reinvented himself as a more serious and unconventional actor. His performance in Rushmore (1998) earned him a Golden Globe nomination and began his celebrated relationship with director Wes Anderson. He later appeared in The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Murray received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for Lost in Translation (2003), playing an aging actor who forms an unexpected friendship with a young woman in Tokyo. The role demonstrated how effectively he could use his trademark deadpan persona in a deeply melancholy and understated performance.
Over the years, Murray has also become famous for his unpredictable public persona and spontaneous appearances. Stories of him unexpectedly showing up at parties, bars, baseball games and other people’s events have become part of his legend. In 2016, he received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, recognizing his extraordinary contribution to American comedy.
