4 pups

Anyone ever leave more than 1 pup on their momma plant? I feel like 2 is worth a try to get some decent grows still.

Pineapple with new pup developing?

I have a plant that is about 4 months into new fruit. Noticed a pup developing at the base of the fruit. Should I leave the pup alone or twist it off? It is 'stealing' nutrients from the growth?

Here We Are 3 Months Later

These were actually taken on May 6th. Three white pineapples, two gold and the pups that came off of them.

Ain’t Looking Good

I moved my 5 plants outside a few weeks ago. I hardened them iff(or so I thought) in a shady spot for about a week.

No idea what’s happening with the plants - leaves discolored, dying at the tips and curling. I feed them a 10-10-10 once a month and have given them iron chelate.

The leaves are solidly in their stalks so I don’t think there is any rotting going on.

Any tips on what to do next?

Force Fruiting?

Hydroponic pineapples in a grow tent, trying to get the lighting to force these to fruit, but no luck lately. I have used Calcium Carbide before, but wanted to ask this group what their thoughts are on naturally getting the pineapples to fruit?

Unmaintained Pineapple Plant

Back before covid (maybe 2018 or so) my brother and I planted a pineapple crown in this 5 gallon bucket with a false bottom and pvc to collect water. Aside from maybe a little bit in the first year, this plant has gone entirely unmaintained since then. This is the second time it is fruiting. Maybe hard to tell from the pictures but the plant is now leaning out over the edge of the bucket due to the continued growth on top of the original plant.

My wonder is what to do with the plant. I would like to actually start taking care of it but I'm not sure if I should just leave it be till it is done fruiting or not. I think the fruit will become heavy enough that it may be detrimental to the plant itself.

Should I try and repot the plant soon, as is? Am I better off letting it do it's thing until it's done fruiting and then transferring the plant/a pup to new pots? Thanks in advance.
