Paris, Leica Q

First time posting here and first time Leica shooter. After 6 years of shooting with my Fuji x100v, I decided to part ways with Fuji and give Leica a try. All that I could afford was the Q so here we are with some photos shot with the original Q. All shots were shot in DNG so as someone who used to shoot in all JPEG, editing was tough with these photos. Also, photography is my hobby so just trying to relax and have fun on my first day in Paris!

Switzerland / Leica M11 / 28 Summicron

Hi, I’m in the mountains about 2–3 times a year, usually in southern Germany and Austria. This is my first time in Switzerland though, specifically Lauterbrunnen is on another level.
Seriously unbelievably beautiful.
My dog is also happy.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, May 22

Yesterday I took my 6-year-old son up Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on the cable car. I took a few quick photos with my Leica M10 and M4-2 before we went back down.
The lens on the M10 is a Mandler 35mm f2. I have been using it for over a year and I really like it. I wonder if anyone here knows
I am posting the digital shots first. I will share the film photos after I develop them.
I framed these digital shots using the Stamio app.

Is this interesting or meh?

This is a small personal project I gave myself in order to attempt to grow as a photographer: take one subject and push it in as many directions as possible: Dandelions. They’re everywhere: sidewalk cracks, lawns, roadsides. So ubiquitous that most people (or rather myself) walk right past them.

Im curious whether this kind of project resonates with anyone here? Is it interesting to see a single subject explored this way, or does it feel like a gimmick?

Shot on Q3 28mm

📸🎞️: Leica MP + 35 Nocti + Monopan 50

Really enjoying shooting the Monopan but they are soooo hard to come by 🥲 I love the soft tones and the high resolution. Wish I could get my hands on more of them 🥹

How many rolls did it take before you were happy with your shots? It took me about 5. (Leica IIIg)

Couldn’t find the right flair…shot these on a IIIg and a Summicron 50mm f/2 (with some slightly yellowed glass), my first real film camera.

I shot a few vintage-tinted Lomo rolls for my first go: most of those came out underexposed and 2 of those rolls also suffered because early on I was terrible at loading the film and had some bits of film that got shredded from the first roll wrapped around the curtain, blocking out some of the shots. There’s some good shots there but kinda got ruined on the bottom.

Most of these here came off a roll of Ektar 100 in the Albuquerque and Taos area. Still more duds than winners but my aim is improving, so to speak.

NYC & New Haven CT, ca. 1987-1989

Digging through some storage boxes, found some old prints. Circa 1987-1989 in NYC and New Haven CT. Gotta get the negatives scanned one of these years.

You can see me in the mirror in the last one, holding my Leica M6 with a DR 50mm. I worked in a camera shop and traded my way up to it. Otherwise, I would never have been able to afford it. I was 19.
