Total eclipse sequence

Captured with a Canon R5 and the RF 100-500, processed in photoshop. I used a solar filter for the partial phases and no filter during totality.

Stellar corona - Solar Eclipse Spain 2026

Composite of several shots taken at exposures ranging from 1/8000 to 1/2 second at ISO 100 and ISO 400 with a Canon R5 and RF 100-500. Taken from La Rioja in Spain. I used a 7 photos bracketing with 2EV separation between shots.

Processed in photoshop using high pass filter to enhance the corona shape and mounted multiple layers using overlay and soft light methods. I used around 2 shots from each bracket.

New euro notes discussion. What’s your preference?

So ECB has proposed ten new designs for the euro notes. What’s your opinion?

I like the birds one but I also like the ones with important figures, although not all countries will be happy with them…

Before somebody asks: the 500€ note will be discontinued.

My bold take is they should ditch the 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 notes and introduce a prime denomination with notes

3, 7, 17, 23, 43, 53, 97, 103 😜

In pairs you can sum many tens, and it enables more figures in the notes 😜

Netherlands in summer

Shot with 21mm, 35mm, 50mm and 90mm. I took the photos during the heatwave that took place in late June. Streets were specially crowded during sunset.

Advice on concealing bottom up screen

I have a ViewSonic PX749-4K UHD and a top down screen. I am however designing a new living room and I was planning to add a concealed bottom up screen on the cabinet. Those that rise up.

Should I go for a UST projector or keep the Viewsonic and put it on the ceiling. Currently is on the left side in front of the screen. I understand there are screens with different reflection designs that control the ambient light. My living room has some outdoor light and that’s not gonna change. I don’t have a TV. We use the projector for casual screening and also for watching movies (then we make the room dark).

The idea is to make the wall behind the projector usable hanging some photos. I don’t like the current screen be a use is not concealed on the top and I have no way to conceal it. The bottom up screen I could conceal it on the cabinet.

Some shots from São Miguel, Azores, Portugal

Taken with the Mini 2 SE using RAW and bracketed exposures then combining them in post. For the lighthouse one I also made a panoramic shot with the drone.

I can’t stress enough how beautiful Azores is. I would love to be back and visit more places next time.
