FBX drive.

I am a resident not a visitor so i'm not posting in visiting anchorage or ask alaska per their description. If the mods don't like it so don't know what to do. lol.

Given I have the time, is the Glenn/Richardson route to fbx worth the extra time versus straight up the Parks?

Thinking of driving the loop up and than straight back down.

Trump Unveils Another Secret White House Construction Project

when you want to know why there's no money for health care and the US is suffering from inflation and the price of everything goes up and up, here's why. Trump excitedly revealed that he replaced the asphalt on the White House’s driveway with white granite mined from California, CNN reports.

“This was always asphalt, which is very basic, not appropriate for a great house—for a great place like the White House,” Trump said over loud construction noise while gesturing at the newly redone driveway, which he described as made with a “very special stone.”

Wrangell-Saint Elias NP

Been working for the Wrangell Mountains Center this summer, my first time in MXY. Photos are from the various peaks on the sides of the Kennicott Valley (Fireweed, Bonanza, Porphyry, Donoho). Hope this hypes someone up about visiting this place. I have many takes (potentially hot ones) about this town and community for those who are interested.

Two Movies Based in Alaska Being Released This Fall

The Sun Never Sets - A romance movie with Dakota Fanning and Jake Johnson looks to be primarily filmed in Anchorage with numerous shots of Turnagain Arm, Whittier Tunnel, and even a King Street Brewing glass. Here is a link to the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTIfzXx8nJY

Heart of the Beast - Brad Pitt and his dog are former Army combatants who escape to the Alaska wilderness. After a plane crash, they must make their way back. Seems pretty sensationalized but I will never complain about a 185 on floats. Here is a link to the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfCgu83suHs

Trip to Utqiagvik

I went to Utqiagvik (Barrow) back in June and it's one of the best trips in the US I have ever had. The people in Utqiagvik are SO nice and welcoming. It was crazy seeing this barren land without any trees and how people can survive in such a harsh climate. What surprised me the most was how many immigrants from Thailand and Laos are living here. Imagine moving all the way to the US and picking this rural community. There really isn't much to do or see, but I just enjoyed walking around and talking to people.
