Very straightforward question to ask, but I've been curious about this for a bit now. But what I mean by "in contact" is knowing each other a bit, and even messaging for a couple of days/weeks.

I know it isn't strange for a celebrity to interact with one of their fans, and maybe even a few more as well. So, I was just wondering if anyone here or someone you know might also be in contact with Joost for a while now.

Like i have gotten like 5 dms from accounts saying that they are Joost's secret account for closest fans, or something like that. Honestly i am so tired of these accounts. I always text them, that they should not do that, since joost is a real person and that what they are doing is a crime, which could even get them arrested (depends on where they live) and than report the accounts. I hope that those are just some kids trolling and that no one falls for it.

Today I discovered that you can see the top five cities listening to an artist on Spotify. (Yeah, I know... I'm only finding this out now. I'll probably hear about the second plane hitting the other tower next week. I live on my own timeline).

Anyway, I checked Joost's stats and was surprised to see that Bonn is the number 1 with almost twice as many listeners as Berlin, which is numer 2.

I'm not exactly an expert on Central European culture, any clue why Bonn is so obsessed with Joost?

I mean, Bonn has an official population of 340,226, and Joost has 103,732 monthly listeners there. That's roughly 30.5% of the city's entire population lol

PS: Interestingly enough, Bonn is also the city that listens to Ski Aggu the most 🤔🤔 Something is off

I’m a new Joost fan, I think he has so much potential but a couple of issues I’ve noticed (no hate lol) is how bad his lyrics / writing are. There’s so much potential there but I think he misses the mark by not collaborating with established song writers. I think it would help him not repeat so many words in his songs as well as having better compositions in his lyric structures that could help him express reoccurring themes without it being repetitive. I also think his albums lack sonic cohesiveness. I understand the vibe he’s got going on I know he’s really inspired by scatman, weird Al yankovic, early 2000s/2010s European techno and gabber but I think he needs to make a decision about how ‘serious’ he wants to take his music instead of treating it like a meme. I think he should separate his more internet meme songs and his more legitimate songs. I also think he should also get a better creative director (if he doesn’t have one already). With all this being said for all I know someone could be saying the same thing behind the scenes but ultimately it’s up to the artist to either take or leave the recommendation / advice . What do you guys think?
