Look how they murdered my boy 😔
Half the size and changed the ingredients. What terrible times we live in.

The one on the left was purchased two weeks ago and the one on the right was purchased yesterday.
Now it has filler, dye, and sulfites...won't be buying this brand again. And vinegar is now third ingredient instead of second.
I get the fact packets of biscuits of food items are getting smaller, but why is fruit getting smaller?
I used to get a pack of huge Gala or pink lady apples, but the fruit itself has got a lot smaller.
Surely they pickers still only pick them when they're fully grown and ready and it doesnt cost the retail sector more to let them grow to full size?
Nature doesn't subscribe to shrinkflation does it?
Sure I get that the price could increase to cover costs but why is my fruit getting smaller?
Maybe someone could educate me.
Edit * this seems to be a permanent thing in my local, not just seasonal.
Shrinkflation and enshittification are everywhere, and it's so frustrating. I just wondered if there are any ideas about doing something about it. It feels helpless, feeling like I'm getting ripped off everywhere. I have stopped buying extras, so I don't support companies that I know have shrunk their product and/or increased their prices and/or changed quality, but has anyone written the CEO or made social media posts about their concerns?
Soooo many products are changing for the worse, with no end in sight. I am open to any ideas about protesting this runaway train of greedy companies winning while us customers lose in every way.
At least I got it on sale for a good deal.
It was time for me to buy new white t-shirts from Costco. I love my old ones; they feel thick and sturdy. However, when I held the new t-shirt purchased in May 2026, I immediately noticed that it was lighter than my old one. I couldn't resist checking the scale to confirm my suspicion. The old shirt weighed 7.0 ounces, while the new shirt weighed 5.3 ounces. That's a difference of 1.7 ounces of cotton material. So, 5.3 oz is about 24.3% smaller than 7 oz.
And only a week apart

Everything has gotten so expensive in the US what’s one thing you’ve cut out?
Not one mention of the very obvious pack shrinkage, just that they ran out of coloured ink. Cheaper out twice over!
GEEEEZUS,
This is the same gift basket, by the same company, for the same price($35). The only difference is 2021 vs 2026 -- they should be VERY embarrassed. I used to order a few smallish gift basket here and there, great for weekend family get togethers as a host family thank you gift -- but I will never buy anything from Gift Basket Village again.
End-stage capitalism really sucks.
EDIT: Someone rightly pointed out that cost to have it the same would be $43 due to inflation. I am aware of that. I would rather have the same thing for $8 more, than have this sad pack. ALSO: if this is all they could afford to keep it at cost, then at least keep the bow and calling card on it to make it look like some effort was put into it. It is the not giving a carp attitude that is the most galling.
I am sick of companies currently acting pi$$ed off that they have to go through customers to get money.
Always get (2) 50lb bags for $12’ish each at Rural King, grabbed them today and were $15 and some change each AND ONLY 40lbs
Even the birds are pissed off outside.
this is the first time I’ve noticed / experienced this 🤯
