Made good breakfast bar size of your finger

Breakfast morning bar. Made good mornings.

Not only did they reduce it down to five, but they nea rly halved the size of them. Kept the price though.

One breakfast bar is slightly larger than my finger. And I'm not a big guy.

Boise area smoke. Be safe guys

It's a lovely smoking morning. AQI of 300 here in Boise. N95 masks are all bought up. Even inside stores has a smokey haze to it. Most of owyhee county to the south west of us has been evacuated.

If you have employees who work outside. Do them a favor and don't let them work in it without proper gear. Already had several billy goat right guys hit the floor, thinking they would endure and shrug it off.

Need assistance with dolby atmos and voicemeeter banana

Just picked up Dolby atmos with the intention of having a decent surround sound like effect. I am looking at new headphones, but the razer blackshark v3 THX spatial 7.1.4 only works for windows 11, and I am windows 10 and have no inclination to upgrade to windows 11 for a multitude of reasons.

I am scouring the internet trying to find a way to get this to work.. but so far none of the options in sound settings for my voicemeeter inputs allows for me to set the spatial sounds. just says not available. If I go all the way up to my headphones in the sound playback, I can right click and set their spatial sound to dolby, but it seems that I have to uncouple and set them to default device before the dolby atmos app will see them and start working. and I also have to stop voicemeeter from running.

I use voicemeeter for passing my mic through broadcaster then to voicemeeter. and for when I do obs, I can have different programs outputting and adjustable through A1 and A2.

is there a way someone has figured out how to get this to work without having to make your headphones your default device and stop using voicemeeter?

Headsets opinions and advice

Looking at headsets. My MSI DS502 (second set in three years) is starting to die off, and I am pulling away from MSI due to quality issues and lack of assistance. Corsair has always been a staple for me. I like MSI internal components, and corsair peripherals and PSU.

I am looking at the headsets, and looking at ratings and the stats on them, but what can you guys tell me from person use, how long lasting and which have good audio. I am not swayed by wireless, I have always had wired headsets, I feel they give better sound but I am willing to try wireless, bonus if there is an option to have it wired up.

I have a blue yeti mic so I dont really care about microphone on a headset, bonus points if it is removable.

the HS80S look alright, and the Void v2 seem to be okay as well. From what I gather the Voids have better durability and sound quality, basing off reviews. But what all do you guys think

Advice in some decent headphones

Looking for opinions and advice on a pair of headphones for gaming. I have a pair of msi DS502 that I have gone through two of them in the past 3 years. They have good sound and are comfortable but they just don't last. The other day, one of the speakers started randomly popping like the last one did. I tried fixing the last one but it didn't help for long.

So what I'm hoping to find is one with similar quality if sound. And it had 7.1 surround which was really nice for gameplay. They originally came as freebies from msi when I bought the 4080 when it came out.

I have a yeti mic so I don't really need one with a microphone. I spent like $50 on the second pair I bought.

I ideally would like to keep it under $100 for a pair that will give great sound for what I'm using it for. I do prefer wired headsets. I feel the sound quality is better and no lag in sound.

But I am willing to take the odd suggestion it up to $150. But like I said. I'm used to headsets not last more than a few years. So I don't see a reason to spend lots of money in them

Need something that is adjustable and comfortable for an over the ear headset.

Smooth vs dimpled

What makes for a better wok in your opinions after cooking for a while. I bought one of those dimpled souper woks about a year and half ago.

I seasoned it and all but I'm noticing that some things still stick and heaven forbid anything burn or that tiny bit of sugar from a marinade carbons up a dimple.

It's a pain to clean at that point.

But I was sold on it cuz I saw some hammered woks that was shown off at a stand and was amazed at how things glided around.

Heover, I have been thinking of a smooth flat bottom one. I like the flat bottoms for now. I don't do any tossing I do cook with a portable gas unit when I'm doing the wok.

I came across a few other brands like the yasokuto or something like that.

I don't know. What are your options on the feature. And what is a good carbon steel wok

Options for work boots

Been looking for comfortable boots for work for a while. Problem is that I need them in wide but very few boots I find are in wide.

I prefer slip on work boots that are at ankle height. I go in and out of people's homes often and get asked to remove my shoes. So easy slip in and off is good.

The main issue is the wide width.

I do maintenance and electrical and light remodels. So I don't need hard toe or anything like that.

Tenant dress or lack there of policies

For those out there in the apartment and residential building maintenance world. Does your PM company have any policies in place for when you respond to a work order or doing inspections and repairs, and the tenants are in such a state of undress that outside of the home, they would get cited.

I have had far too many tenants, who also know I'm coming, who just will not put clothing on. Generally it is the usual t shirt that goes down just far enough where you aren't sure if they are wearing underwear, let alone not wearing pants. I consider this extremely rude and egregious behavior. Yes I know it's their place, but I as a maintenance tech, should not have to be subjected to that, nor have to worry about the tenant making false claims that I was checking them out or something along those lines.

Personally I would like the ability to refuse service. If they can't cover up and dress appropriately when I'm there, then I don't want to enter their home. It's just a liability that I don't even have any to risk.

I just completed inspections and repairs, of a 48 unit complex, and 8 came to the door with next to nothing, or nothing on. I might as well been at a strip club.

Beard butter vs cream at night

What would you say is your go to for night after shower. Beard butter or Cream. I prefer something lightweight, however, I am looking into more natural options that dont carry a bunch of stuff.. Currently I use Gillette beard softener but have been strugglign with beard dandruff heavy, and I am starting to suspect that was the cause since it technically isnt just a cream as I found out, and has ingredients in it that are chemically made, and silicone..

which do you prefer, deeper butter for evening, or a lighter cream?

what is your go to that you use.

Boat rentals

Hey all. So I'm getting sucked into family camping with the gf and her family. Which is a Lot of people and kids (pray for my soul please).

I'm considering options of maybe renting a boat and doing that inner tube thing and just enjoying it.

I've experienced it in my younger years, and I want to share the fun with the gfs kids.

Is there a decent place that isn't going to break the bank and is reputable. I looked at one place and after fees and such they are wanting $800-$1,000 for a boat rental for a single day.

In a future I'll buy a boat but right now I have no place to store one.

Not sure where we will end up. Maybe go up to mccall area maybe. I prefer the mountains but I know that is a half a day trip just to get up to like alturas

Place for pet interaction temporarily

Is there a place anywhere in the valley where someone could go to and just hang out with pets. Not our own mind you, but someone else or like a shelter type.

I struggle with wanting the pets and furry cuddles, but also know that long term, the hair would get to me. And I'm also on the fence too so it might help decision wise.

But is there a place that a person can go to just give pets and cuddles and enjoy the soft purrs and wuffles for like a few hours or a day.

Does such a place exist

Advice on decent knives for general purpose and more

Seeking advice on knives, could be set or stand alone ones. I have been a heavy kitchen user for years, but I have never really done much for knives. I have been using junk I bought from walmart for like the last 9 years. Ex wife kept my good stuff. but manufacturer went out of business long time ago.

What is out there that you would recommend that is good, but wont break the bank.

I have heard ther Mercer Ren is pretty decent, Tojiro is premium (as far as regards to my culinary preferences in the kitchen). looking at misen right now ones like this https://misen.com/products/knife-set-5pc?variant=59406211448913

I do a lot of asian cuisine, but also standard basics you would find in western world. I do like to cut my own meats when I buy them in bulk, same with chicken, so a boning knife would be nice. probably the nicest one I have is a chinese cleaver I bought a few years ago, but even that I think was only like $30

I heard that Misen is discontinuing their older AUS steel knives and they are on sale at the moment. So i was looking at picking up some of those. Most notably, the 8 inch chefs, santoku, paring and boning knife.

They have a set with a bread knife, but honestly I hate using bread knives.. too much mess, But i can pick up all four of those knives for about $160 plus shipping

I will liekly end up using a magentic knife holder instead of a knife block anyways. and I do like the asian style of cutlery, they pretty, but I also sometimes feel they are too elegant for me at the moment. lol well price wise anyways..

I might get some premium tojiro later since I do make sushi and fine slice from time to time

but what do you folk think as far as decent knives for use?
