Evanescence have submitted Sanctuary and Who Will You Follow for the Grammy's

Evanescence have submitted Sanctuary and Who Will You Follow for the Grammy's

I really, really want them to be nominated and win at least one, but I'm afraid they have been snubbed by the industry too many times. Still can't believe Afterlife wasn't at least nominated, with how well it did.

Astarion on why he doesn't help people

In this EA conversation Astarion talks about helping other people (or not) and like most of us always said, it's because he had to do it on his own.

Reviews

Hey guys. I am making this post to translate a compilation of reviews from Brazilian fans who got to listen to the album last night and I will also post the sources.

So according to them BL is one of the best in the album. Has an awesome piano intro and Amy and the band just destroy everything with it. It also has echoes (whatever that means)

They also said that Tell me when you had enough just takes it straight from the last songs break (it seems BL ends quieter) and this one kicks you right in the gut after because it's fast paced. Rapture is mostly electronic, with a very dark intro, reminiscent of Origin, with a lot of synths.

All of the reviews I've seen say Sanctuary is one of the best in the album, Amy talks in the intro and that leads up to a meeting with the band and singing, vocal distortions, and is also very Origin.

According to one of the reviewers he was more impressed with How do I Heal because he had more expectations for FWY. Very beautiful ballad.

About Us, could be a single, very aggressive song, has a lot of lyrics, you almost can't breathe while listening because it's a lot. Calm Down has TOD vibes and is extremely electronic, one reviewer compared it to Secret Door.

Self Destruct got compared to Disappear. Forever Without you references Fallen and TOD in the lyrics and one reviewer gave it 10/10 while the other said he wonders how Amy will sing that live because it's hard, and that is mostly piano chords, lower in the instruments register. Wide Open Heart is a more positive vibe song, similar in feel to Blind Belief.

Some still haven't posted their thoughts but here are some of the sources.

Oh and there is a bit of Rapture floating around so be careful not to hear it before today's stream.

Conspiracy theory

Ok so I have a conspiracy theory. There are a couple of somewhat large fanpages that have been posting lyrics and recently distorted sounds of what sounds to me as Amy's voice.

My conspiracy theory is, what if the band sent those videos and edits and asked them to post them everyday to generate hype for the album? What if they didn't have access to it illegally but it's actually part of a well thought of promotion tactic to get people to interact with the posts, search the web, etc etc. I don't know. It's so fishy to me. Edit just to add: the videos are all somewhat similar too with the same colour schemes and patterns with a lot of blood, and also kinda galaxy looking with purples, and blues (and reds but those were a given due to the album's artwork)

But this is just a theory...a music theory

Does anyone think we will get song previews like we did for TBT on Apple Music? Or at least song descriptions like we had for TOD on some magazines (I remember a french magazine that described the entire album while keeping the songs mysterious enough).
