r/Evanescence

I'm loving this Evanescence ERA!!

I'm loving what Evanescence has been serving this past year! They are really active and delivering great music, from 'Afterlife' and 'Fight Like a Girl' to 'Who You Will Follow,' as well as Amy Lee's collaborations on 'The End of You' and 'Hand That Feeds.' They are serving high-quality sound and music videos. The sound specifically is great, which is a nice change from The Bitter Truth, where the production wasn't that great. I'm so excited, and Amy looks incredibly healthy and is absolutely serving looks! I really want her to experiment more with her outfits. I'm excited for the album, and I'm loving it!

What’s an actual bitter truth you have to accept in your life?

What is an actual bitter truth that you ever have to accept in your life? For me, it’s my father losing eyesight in one eye and moving on from a broken friendships so I really resonate with this album.

New Will interview

Great news for Latam fans, he said there are plans being made for a South American tour next year.

He said that the production value for the shows on this tour is gonna be insane and nothing like they've ever done before (which got me really hyped)

He also said he doesn't know if they will be releasing another single soon. If the rumors about Beautiful lie are true, maybe he just can't say it yet, cause I doubt he wouldn't know.

'About us' on the tracklisting

I've just noticed on the tracklisting that while every word in the songs has capital letters at the start, 'About us' is the only one that doesn't follow that trend. Usually small words like 'in' and 'of' and 'the' aren't but I think this is a statement.

One of the only lyrics spoken about in reviews so far is her belting out 'they don't give a damn about us' - I think this is a deliberate move to put emphasis on the governments etc. thinking so little of the general populatation.

End of You performance during the tour?

Poppy wouldn't be present, obviously, but Amy Love from the Nova Twins could potentially step in. Although, her vocals make that a little bit of a stretch.

Thought it might be fun to hear live.

Evanescence are keeping me going in 2026

It's such a shitty time to be in the world, but it's such a great time to be an Evanescence fan.

There's no point to this post other than to say... as a huge fan since 2002, who dived into their back catalogue, demos, and music pre-fallen, I have not been this excited for an Ev album since The Open Door.

I've never disliked an album they've put out, but 24 years into my fandom, I think they've hit another peak of success and strength and it's great to see they've gained some new traction and they're getting some love.

Afterlife was unexpectedly (for me) really successful, and the bridge in that song is one of my favourites they've ever done. Since then, we've been treated to their best lead single since CMWYS, an incredible music video with a big budget, a behind the scenes, multiple Sanctuary choices to buy.

I don't think I've ever needed their music more. The world is such a scary, confusing and stressful place in the 2020's. I know politics in music isn't for everyone, but hearing her stance on the world today in interviews makes me so proud to be a fan they stand for everything I do. I think she's taken the right approach staying quieter in social media but putting it into the music and art and I feel the energy and passion in the lead single.

I'm so impatient to hear it now but I'm glad it's not leaked so far in advance like previous albums have. I hope they have a really successful era, because if the clip of Self Destruct is anything to go by we are in for a treat.

To Amy and the band. Thank You.

Hear me out

I know everybody says that TBT is rather underwhelming or even “bad” but I think you just require an acquired taste for it, and that’s what I think the album is supposed to be? Because isn’t it about something personal for Amy?

Wow 👌

I think it's the first time they reaches 26M monthly listeners.

+WWYF is streamed more than 100k views daily after the release of the MV (it was +- 70 000 daily before that) 🔥

Synthesis

Was just looking at past set lists and I don't really see any songs from Synthesis... Which is a shame. I mean they redid some songs on there like My Immortal and Lithium, but there were some really good originals like Hi-Lo and Imperfection!!!

I just wanted to highlight Amy's advocacy for epilepsy awareness and studies to help those afflicted. She's still chairman for Out Of the Shadows, a foundation to study and destigmatize epilepsy. 🩵

Hoping this community could lead me to a tshirt for the End Of You single.

Not sure if there's a decent seller I could get this from. Or should I just make my own online?

Quick cameos…

There you can see John LeCompt, Ben Moody, Rocky Gray and Jen Majura doing a quick cameo in the Who Will You Follow music video. I love Amy in her healing era. 😂
