Breathe No More / favourite b-side tracks?
I don't know how I've only just discovered this song. Its absolutely beautiful and touching, and the lyrics, even on just a first listen, are so important and really resonate with me.
Again, how have i never heard this amazing song before?! knew about the other b-sides from fallen, so i assume this one just fell through the cracks, which is a massive shame.
What are your favourite b-sides from any album? On topic with fallen, 'farther away' has always been one of my most loved and streamed evanescence songs. I also love 'together again' but I have to be in the right mood to listen to it lol
And, as I'm writing this, I've found out that "If You Don't Mind" is actually a TOD b-side, I always thought that was from self-titled, but on next listen that makes a lot more sense...lol.
also, happy 1-month of sanctuary! Do you have any favorite tracks? I remember back when it first came out my ranking was far more wavering / mixed, but after a months listen I don't think any songs come under 6 / 10. My favorite is either self-destruct or Wide Open Heart. :)
You know what song I'd love to hear live?
All that Im living for🫶🏼
Emma background vocals
First of all loving Emma's background vocals. I notice them more live, such as on FWY. However, I have a hard time telling which of the background vocals on the album are Emma and which are Amy. Possibly because Emma's voice blends well with Amy and isn't really meant to stand out a lot.
Can anyone point out any specific songs/moments where they can tell that it's specifically Emma?
Not a fan of this band (sorry) but this song is incredible. Can't believe it is not unanimously considered their best.
youtube.comOrigin cd
I was bored today, so l decided to go through my dad's old cd/lp collection and found origin by evanescence. My dad wad born 1969 so l was suprised to see it, since he mostly had rock/metal from the 70s/80s.

Lithium beat Wide Open Heart 294-53. Today, Afterlife is competing against Never Go Back.
Evanescence Ushers in the Sanctuary Era with Spiritbox & Nova Twins at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion
Unfortunately I was unable to be accommodated to shoot photos at the Saratoga show due to too many requests being put in and limited space, but my wife and I attended the Camden, NJ show. Here are my thoughts!
Sanctuary next singles
Now that we’ve had the album for almost a month, I thought it would be fun to see where the fanbase stands on the next Sanctuary singles. Assuming that we don’t count Afterlife as an offical album single (given that it was released by Netflix for DMC), and that we get the usual 4 singles/music videos, which 3 songs would you like to be the next 3 singles (after WWYF)?
My thoughts are:
WWYF
Tell Me When You’ve Had Enough
Forever Without You
Rapture
TMWYHE would keep the heavy/radio friendly momentum that WWYF built, and it has such a catchy chorus. I would also be happy with Self Destruct instead of TMWYHE but it would seem silly not to capitalise on the success that TMWYHE is already having.
I think FWY may not end up being a single but the vocal performance is so powerful, it stops you in your tracks. I think it deserves its moment to shine.
Rapture because it’s a really cool song, the bridge is incredible with the little synth choir moment over that one beat that makes my soul ascend to heaven, and it’s a fan favourite, plus I can see it having an interesting, spooky, dark music video.
I always thought Evanescence was this one hit wonder nu metal band from the late 90s that had a rapper and Sarah McLachlan type vocalist
The only songs I knew were Bring Me To Life and My Immortal. I thought it was like the whole Linkin Park thing, like for My Immortal, Mike Shinoda didn't need to rap or whatever but wondered why it was played on our rock station it was like, "oh that ending".
I dunno how I did not realize this band was still around today, and that Lee is the lead singer with and plays legit heavy metal music because Sanctuary is fireee.
I'm listening to some of their other albums too and my fav so far is Never Go Back, can't remember from which album but this ain't what I thought who this band was. My fav track from Sanctuary is probably Who Will You Follow or Self Destruct. But they're all really good and the 2 ballads are gorgeous. I have much more appreciation for them now than I did for My Immortal back then.
What are more heavier Evanescence songs maybe similar to Sanctuary or Never Go Back?
The Seventh Turn Original Score with Amy Lee voice is available in streaming.
Anywhere
Hi! I was wondering and would like to know, why Anywhere isn’t on spotify and why don’t they sing it live?
Evanescence - Rapture with choirs
Hello, hello! Remember me? I'm everything you can't control I've just finished my choir remix of Rapture! Quite a few people asked for it after my last post, so here it is!
I kept the choirs pretty subtle on this one because I think they fit the song better that way. Gosh... I think this might be my favorite track on the album now.

Lose Control beat Hello 170-142. I guess Fallen won’t be dominating the whole bracket. Today, Wide Open Heart is competing against Lithium.

love Amy's shirt 🖤❤️
Am I the only one tired of the current version of BMTL that they play in concerts?
Look, I love Bring me to life, but one of the best things about it is the energy and frenetic aspect of it.
A few years ago the band changed the song adding that long break where Amy hypes the crowd and than does the rap. I really liked this version when they started doing it, but now I think it's bad. The change they made completely breaks the pace of the song and it doesn't sound as epic as the original. I am not even complaining about the rap, but the pace. I actually prefer the way they were playing in 2011 which was just like the disc version but without the male vocals.
Actually the best version of the song by far is that Demo that does not have male vocals but instead has a great guitar solo.
