Ok all. What shin guards are we rockin this year? This is my second year, I used my player ones last year but they are a bit bulky. Plus I’m not keen on having to keep switching my equipment from player bag to ref bag. One of these times I’m gonna forget them 🙄 I’m not into spending a TON of money, as we don’t have a lot of hockey here so I can’t exactly make back the money in a weekend quickly.

What are you all using to practice shooting/stick handling at home? I’m not trying to spend a ton of money, lookin for a simple somethin I can pick up at a hardware store or something. I’m coming back after a 22 year retirement and these new sticks are soooo different. Just wanna practice my shot and stuff.

Preface: I understand rat snakes are helpful parts of the ecosystem. But I have two small dogs who have already had two encounters with a GIANT rat snake. Today I saw a smaller (still huge), different rat snake come through the yard. So now I know there’s a community and they’re hangin out around here somewhere. We have been seeing droppings all over and weird smells outside.
I don’t think they’re living in our yard but we are seeing a lot of traffic.
Point being- are there any prevention or removal services out there specifically for snakes? I know a reg exterminator won’t do much nor will animal control. Especially since I don’t know where they are living.
I just want my pups to be able to enjoy the yard and go to the bathroom without having a terrifying clash every single day. Help!!!
One of my dogs is named Marshall Mathers. When we are out in public and I call his name, I def use it as a cool kid indicator when someone notices it and comments. Anyone else have a pet named after the 🐐

Long shot but- we usually get our fruit frozen for our small business from restaurant depot in Va beach. Lately they’ve been out of stock of a lot of products- namely the fruit. Just looking for somewhere else to source these things? I mean, yeah there’s the chef store and stuff like that but I’m lookin for quantities like the boxes they have at the depot rather than small bags. Fresh or frozen, doesn’t matter as long as it’s without sugar added and the price is right, ya know? Any other places for this?? Appreciate you all.
