Experience Question

Hi guys! Quick question about the VMCAS experience section. I’m starting a new role as a full-time emergency vet assistant in early-mid September. I want to include it in my VMCAS submission, but don’t want to risk my application not being verified in time. This if for LIU specifically because I know they require apps to be verified by sept 15. Does anyone know if I submit it maybe by the first week of sept, it will still be verified by the deadline? Or should I not risk and just submit late August and add the experience after I submit the application. However, I have heard that schools don’t really look at the updates after application submission. Any advice? Thank you!

Overnight shift?

Hi guys, I'm starting a full-time position for a VA role and am wondering whether or not I should take the overnight schedule or the am. Both are 11 hours shifts and I'm just concerned if I do the am it'll be sleep and work. But with overnight, at least I have some of day? Any advice from people who do overnight or 11hr shifts or know people who do and willing to share their experience? Thank you so much.

CORRECT CASPER TEST?

Hi guys, I am in the current vet school application cycle and want to make sure that I took the correct Casper test. On the VMCAS portal, for the 2026-27 LIU-LCVM admissions cycle, it says the Casper test is CSP-10101 – U.S. Professional Health Sciences. However, I genuinely did not find that test name when I clicked the veterinary program. Instead, it shows CSP-20100, while CSP-10101 was for different programs (not vet med). I did see that there was an update to Casper 2; again, I just want clarification.

Did anyone else experience this and also take CSP-20100? I tried to clarify with the admissions office directly. However, their reply did not answer my concern. I also asked the Acuity Insights team through the chat, and the answer was not clear as well. I really want to make sure I took the right test, so if anyone has their own insight, it would be very helpful. Thank you!!

Anyone open to providing feedback for VMCAS statment?

Hello, I have been doubting my personal statement for a while now. Even though it has been approved by my mentor, I want to make sure it reads the way I want, not like a list of different experiences and what I learned (which I think it may be leading towards).

I want admissions to have a clear understanding of why I landed on vet med despite pressures to pursue otherwise and that it showcases my qualities well. If anyone is open to providing feedback, I would be extremely thankful, even if it is harsh! Thank you
