Saint Cloud isn't as racist as I thought it was!
That Zak X guy only got 101 votes while the guy he hates most of his 3 opponents got 734.

Thought some of you would find this interesting. This and a tiny bit of rust on the rear fender wells are all the rust on it. Clean otherwise. Minnesota car.
Buddy of mine picked all of this up at an estate sale for me for a whopping five bucks. I spent the morning watching Silo and taking the keys off the rings. Found the keys for some of them but not all yet. So.... I got:
1 - Master 875D
1 - Master M50XD
1 - Master 1500T
1 - Master 630D
1 - Master #1
4 - Master #3 (two are keyed alike)
7 - Master #25 (all keyed alike... Never even heard of a Master #25 but I'm new)
1 - cheap ass brass lock
1 - Best SFIC core. Don't know much about these yet. I think it only has 3 pins in it so I'm guessing it is a construction core? Still cool. One key has "C" and the other has "M" on it. Assuming this stands for Control and Master since I've heard those words here before.
All in all I'd say what he grabbed for me is worth every cent of $5.00 and then some!
I checked this site sometime in the last few years and I remember there only being 4 Flock cameras (the 4 on University.) Just checked yesterday and that number has grown to 21 cameras around the area.
So St. Cloud.... How do we feel about a growing network of cameras that track every place you go?
Looking for an honest discussion here. I personally hate the whole idea of the fucking things but I'm curious as to how other community members feel about them.
Was watching a YouTuber and someone in chat asked why the left split produces the Schollbait hailers and the right split the tornado. I got to thinking (it hurt a little bit) and a couple of postulates popped into my head:
It has something to do with mass and angular momentum but mesocyclone size. (if there is such a thing)
The mesocyclonic vortices (if there is such a thing) and their resultant pressures just naturally support the respective result. I'm assuming a lot here but it kinda makes sense to me.
Like I said, these are just ideas I had. I'm just trying to wrap my head around it since I'm genuinely curious. Am I overthinking it? Hoping someone like Trey from ConvectiveChronicles could Matrix that shit right into my medula oblongata but I'll settle for answers from mere mortal weather experts. Have a great day/night and thanks in advance for your thoughtful responses!
I was poking around trying to find ways to make Jeff Bezos richer and I came across this thing. I have questions:
Is it a "new" product or have there been similar locks with keys like that?
What the heck is it called?
Why is the red one 6 more dollars than the green one?
Does the key basically work like a tubular lock where you push down and rotate to keep the pins set?
Are they difficult to pick?
Why don't I see people posting about defeating SafeKey locks?
I know I could find out a bunch by using the googler but I value real people's opinions far more than a flippin' sponsored search result. (I learn from you guys what lock jargon is. Very helpful to refine my searches and improve the quality of the data points they are collecting on me. (lol)
I'm still kinda new to this but I just got an ABUS 72/40. The dimensions are exactly the same as the Brinks 164 lock. Expectedly the internals are completely different.
Anyway. I rather like this shape lock since they feel good in my hand when I'm working on one. Are there other this shaped locks and in y'all's opinions which is the best?
This lock was given to me by a cool dude in the community. It didn't come with a key... I've blind picked a few locks before but this was the first time on an 1100. Confused me for a second when I got it because when I turned the core the shackle didn't pop up like normal. (had to turn the core the all the way and pull the shackle) I'm excited... Never pass up a W on a Monday.
Here's to hoping most of those red dots stay the fuck home today. Illinois/Indiana doesn't need 2,000 chasers/spotters to descend on them on a day like today.
After a couple of months in the hobby I finally got an 1100 series open. Thanks to everyone in the community for your words of encouragement and especially to those of you who put tutorial vids on the YouTube.
Just picked up this pretty 48mm brass beauty today. The Reaper set I ordered from Covert Instruments also showed up today. (They were amazingly fast at delivering my order BTW. Placed my order at around 7pm CDT on Monday and they showed up today in central Minnesota at around noon.)
Got home after a long and boring day and took some time getting the feng shui right in my chill space. Sat down and checked the Twitter for a while and decided to have a run at that new ACE lock. Had it open within a minute and I'm pretty proud of myself. I know it wasn't an "accident" open since both times I've gotten it all of my moves were very intentional. I'm stoked because I believe this is a Green Belt level lock if I make a video of me picking it along with a video of me gutting a lock. I don't have any gutting tools yet so that request will be a good while but still. I'm a happy picker! 🤘
Found these locks on clearance at the Walmart yesterday in the midst of a Reddit spat with a nice Welsh gentleman. (I was wrong. It's happened before and will again.) Anyway...
The Bumblelock was 5 bucks and it's a 50mm. It's 'roided up brother, Bubbalock, is a 60mm and was only 7 bucks. Not saying they are hard locks or anything but the ones I got are a bit challenging for me. Can't complain for less than 15 bucks!
Note: "Bumblelock" and "Bubbalock" aren't official names but they should be.
Got a new lock today. It has spools and the same keyway as a 140 so I'm assuming it would be equivalent to yellow belt. Am I correct?
Regardless of ranking it is a fun little lock to open. Spool on 1 that I have to pretty much jam up into the bible to get it to set. Crunchy spool on 2 then touch 3 and it is open. I dig how the shackle shoots open when I pop it too.
Edited to add: It is a Master Model 605DAT.
I realize I'm still a noob but I just got this lock and got it open. Going to practice a bunch on this guy before I move on to the 1100s I have.
Is it how Maynard sings a certain phrase, a particular drum fill, or guitar/bass riff?
For me it is the drum fills in The Grudge at around 3:40 in the song.
