How did they blow up without content???

I’m a very small artist with around 100+ monthly listeners on Spotify. I consistently post every single day on 3 pages of mine: my main page, a lyric video fan page, and a meme page where I attach my music as the sound. Posting consistently every day for over a year has gotten me the 100+ monthly listeners but no fans and not much engagement at all. I make music similar to brakence, slayr, underscores, etc. (the underground / upcoming pop sound) and I observed one thing - these artists don’t post content.

In an age where consistent content is the main way to garner a fanbase online, how do these other artists do it without content? How do artists who are ghosts essentially get attention, fans and streams? I genuinely do not understand and I would love any insight someone could give me!

Brakence’s come back livestream

It all makes sense now. When brakence returned from his hiatus with the TikTok livestream, the voice said “pour it all out, fuck it” - and notice how this rollout is fast. Constant snippets. Constant singles every Friday. Double singles. The album. All of it. Pour it all out. Fuck it.
