Today I was reminded why being single is better and peaceful.

Checkers is a boring game and one of my least favorites. But he chose the game so I had to go first which is a disadvantage but I played along because I love games, even when I lose at any game it's still fun with the right people. Anyway, I lost although he almost lost by a little. Normally, I don't really care if I win or lose but my body was very reactive during the whole game, like alarm bells ringing, I was triggered and couldn't understand why until he started making fun of me and being micro-aggressive like trying to degrade me and uplifting himself. I ended up flat out saying that I don't like prideful people.
And he responded with a fake "sorry" and a ridiculous excuse "iTs bEcaUse iM aN aThLEte" No. I blocked him. I'm not doing this AGAIN. I’ve felt this before with an abusive ex so I know the signs. All abusive men are prideful aka narcissistic.
I can feel my body right now is in fight or flight still and I hate it. I had a healthy, yummy dinner and was watching an interesting Netflix doc and he ruined my night. he reminded me why being single is way better and peaceful.

Being single and happy for me means not performing or pretending to be someone I’m not.

Humans, most humans, only want what they can’t have. And Most men like emotionally unavailable women who play the field and don’t love.
All throughout history, men fought for the unattainable girl; Even inspiring unrequited love songs and movies and poems and paintings and war.

I constantly see posts and poems from men longing for the woman who barely shows them an ounce of recognition. The other woman who cares and loves them gets overlooked, A L W A Y S. And beauty is almost never a major factor in these situations.

It’s exhausting because I know how to love and I’m naturally sweet and caring. It’s only fared less than ideal for me. I’ve decided to direct that loving energy towards myself, instead of the void that is men who prefer suffering.

I have accepted that I will never be the woman that inspires a man’s devotion.

This is my defeat. And ironically, it’s been peaceful. I now only wish that society would normalize single, independent women but whatever….

Is this doable?

There is no way for me to get out of student debt without having multiple jobs, marrying someone rich, or a miracle. The interest rates just keep getting worse. I found a potential job 2 but they require 3 weeks of on video training m-f, 7-2:30. Job 1 is remote. I’m wondering if this is doable without taking pto from job 1?

Also, as a first timer, should I freeze my twn even though I didn’t add my current job on my resume?
