Question - Version update

Question - Version update

Can someone help...I have a pair of Gen 1 (Not stories)...think the update failed. Can someone tell me if this release is the current version, or am I stuck on some kind of place holder version (like Meta AI is telling me I am?)

What is my printer doing?

All standard settings (A1- Ams lite)...just seems to be skimming over the top of my print and not extruding.

Weird?

I left my ex because I couldn’t handle the uncertainty around her trauma anymore.

This is something I’ve never really spoken about because even now I don’t fully know what the truth was.

Early in our relationship, my ex told me one night that she’d been abused by a family member when she was younger. She said it was an uncle from Australia and then immediately made me promise never to tell anyone. I agreed, and I kept that promise.

What always stuck with me though was that she never brought it up again. Ever.

I didn’t push her because I know trauma affects people differently. But over time, certain things started making it feel obvious that she probably wasn’t actually talking about an uncle at all. It seemed much more likely she meant her stepdad.

There were behaviours that, looking back, made me think something genuinely happened to her. She hated having her hair touched, even casually. Sometimes she’d completely tense up over physical affection. She also often complained that sex was painful, even during periods where we hadn’t had sex for quite a while.

None of that proves anything obviously, and I’m not pretending I’m some expert. But it definitely made me think there was real trauma there underneath everything.

At the same time, the story itself never fully added up. Certain details changed, things contradicted each other, and because she’d made the whole subject completely untouchable, I was left constantly questioning myself in silence.

That honestly became exhausting.

I started feeling guilty for doubting her while also feeling manipulated by the secrecy and inconsistencies. It created this horrible feeling where no matter what I believed, I felt like the bad guy.

Eventually I realised I couldn’t stay in a relationship where I constantly felt emotionally trapped between sympathy, confusion, guilt and suspicion.

I still don’t know the full truth, and maybe I never will. Part of me thinks she changed details because the reality was too painful or complicated to admit out loud. Another part of me thinks she used the story to emotionally pull people closer while keeping them at a distance at the same time.

Either way, the relationship broke me mentally more than I realised at the time.

I’ve kept this to myself for years because I didn’t want to betray her confidence, but I guess anonymously posting it here is the closest I’ll get to finally getting it off my chest.

Anyone else just waiting for “Conversation Focus” to finally arrive on Meta Ray-Bans?

I honestly don’t care that much about the celebrity voices, AI image stuff, or half the gimmicks they keep pushing onto the Meta Ray-Bans. The one feature I genuinely want is Conversation Focus.

Being able to lock onto the person you’re actually speaking to in a busy environment would make these glasses massively more useful in real life. Pubs, restaurants, work environments, public transport — that’s where the tech could actually shine instead of just being a novelty.

It feels like one of the most practical accessibility/social features they’ve talked about, yet it’s either unavailable, region-locked, delayed, or barely mentioned now.

Is anyone else mainly waiting for this feature? And does anyone actually know if it’s still coming properly to the UK?
