Hola reddit! It's Diego Luna. AMA!

Hola reddit, I'm Diego Luna. You may know me from films/tv like Andor, Y tu mamá también, Narcos: Mexico, Rogue One, The Terminal, Friday, Open Range, Milk, etc.

I've recently directed, co-written, and co-star in ASHES, which premiered at Cannes earlier this year and is now playing at TIFF.

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtL1x2ECJ6M

Synopsis: Lucila, 21, moves to Spain with her brother to reunite with their mother who left 8 years ago. Facing discrimination and family duties, she struggles to find independence while dealing with her past wounds.

TIFF Screening Info: https://tiff.net/films/ashes

AMA! I'll be back later today, Monday 9/14, to answer questions.

Book question

I checked out the novellas after watching season 1 of the show. I’m now halfway through the third one. It seems like no one knows who Dunc is after the events of Ashford. Shouldn’t he be somewhat famous even in a world without news? Why does no one know who he is in novella 2 and 3 (so far)?

Scott Pelley

What would be an interesting thing for Pelley to do next? I think he could do something cool but can’t figure out where. Saw someone mention him going to HBO in r/hbo but obviously that’s not an option with the merger.

Crosspost to r/pressbox if it existed.

Do you know of any obscure/niche archives in the area? I think Vanderbilt had some lady’s decades worth of tapes of everything that appeared on network tv. MTSU has some sort of punk archive. Lomax music stuff. Anything else you’ve heard of?
