I just started reading God of malice. I have high hopes for this series

Ok so for a little background information. Im in my late college years and I had just moved country’s so I had to go to a new school and I had no friends, so I was completely new to everything here. Anyway so I met this guy and we are the complete opposite, he’s nerdy,gamer and really into cars,listens to rock music,and kind of outgoing. whereas I’m into art, listen to rnb and rap and absolutely love reading and honestly the silent type. But anyway. Since we were different from each other it honestly worked out really well and we became best friends and it was great. But then he ment this girl with a lot of problems hanging over her, they started dating, I never liked her much because even tho he said he was happy and that he loved her and was trying to help her,I could tell her problems were effecting him and he just changed.he became more tired and sad. And he stopped talking to me. I tried my best to help him be happy again. I was always by his side and gave him advice and it worked for abit. He started going back to his usual self and he eventually broke up with her. But then he started talking to his ex’s best friend.and they became very close. So close to the point where he just leaves me on seen when I message him and at school he’s always with this girl and walks away when I arrive.i attempted talking to him today about and tried to fix our friendship because he’s literally all I got and I was his best friend first so who tf she think she is taking him away from me like this. But when I tried to talk to him he just said “I don’t wanna talk about it” and left me on seen. I know this sounds like meaningless teen drama but it’s effecting my friendship here!
