Baby no.2 imminent - low cost ideas to keep toddler occupied?

37 weeks pregnant with a 22 month old. Will need a C-section and can not think creatively/cheaply about activities to keep my toddler occupied in those early weeks whilst I'm still sore.

She will be in nursery 2 days a week throughout August. I can only think of sticker books at this time and welcome collective wisdom!

Is this pottery training readiness?

My nearly 22 month old has recently become quite interested in the toilet, will say "wee wee" when her nappy is wet. She can't communicate when she needs to go but seems to say it after the fact. She will also wee after the bath, when you take her nappy off etc. We have been sitting her on the potty and toilet when she talks about wee wee, but she won't use it. I am not sure if this is a sign whether we should go the whole hog and try potty train?

I am 35 weeks pregnant, it's summer so part of me thinks to give it a go before baby 2 arrives and whilst it's warm, but I am not sure if she is ready?

Any tips/advice welcome
