waitlist confusion

i got a notification that the system tried to enroll me into my waitlisted class but there was a schedule conflict. So i dropped the class that I was scheduled for at that time. However, the system has yet to enroll me since. I keep getting notifications that there’s a waitlist. Now I’m out two classes, the one that I dropped and the one i’m waiting on. I can’t even do future-swap

What are the chances I’ll get enrolled into it? Should I give up on it? also does this mean I was pushed behind in the waitlist

Dang I really wish we could see which spot we are on it.

cadaver lab pros and cons?

Hey everyone.
I’m entering my last year of college and planning my grad plan. my university has the option for a 5 credit cadaver anatomy course. it is only offered in the spring and id potentially take it my last semester. my school only offers separated anatomy and physiology. doesn’t matter which i take first

I have two options:

Fall plan:

  1. anatomy with no lab (lecture only)+ cell bio+ other electives for my major
  2. OR
  3. physiology with lab + cell bio + electives

Spring plan (SEMESTER I APPLY AND GRADUATE):

  1. anatomy with cadaver lab + genetics+ other electives
  2. physiology with lab + genetics + electives

the issue is that I have a really high GPA right now and have been getting straight A’s. I don’t want to risk this streak, especially so close to graduation. I don’t have many PCE since I was so focused on academics. I don’t have much extracurricular either. Everything rides on my grades. Anatomy cadaver is notorious for being a hefty workload and many students I know say it’ll take a lot out of you. I’m not sure if I’m ready for that, especially my last semester. I’d be burnt out for sure. i’d be in school for 8 consecutive semesters lol, no summers off.

orrr… i can take the cadaver lab and gain an edge in PA school. I’m sure it’ll make me more comfortable with the dissections and give me knowledge about the human body. i’d also be less queasy of course

what do you suggest?

CNA job market

Hey everyone,
I’m a college student studying on the pre-med track. I’ve submitted maybe 60 job applications in multiple health systems. Fairview, Allina, Healthpartners, Children’s, North Memorial, Gillettes…

I got my CNA nearly 8 months ago and have a year’s worth of experience at an assisted living facility. I have been actively applying to jobs for months now, even before I got my CNA. they all say they want 6 months minimum experience, so I started applying then. I want to switch to a hospital to diversify my experiences. And to be frank, get better pay.

I keep getting rejections after rejections.

Fairview never gave me interviews. A lot of the jobs I got rejected within an hour- a week. I even had people (career center) review my resume. Nothing changed. I applied to maybe 17 with Fairview.

Every Allina job I get a rejection email saying “we gave this job to a senior bidder.” so why post the job if they all are internal? oh well at least they’re honest

I got ghosted by the rest of the hospital systems. I’ve applied to so many different cities. I even applied to clinics! got nothing. I have open availability and I apply to a range of hours, from casual to maybe .7

Is anyone else having a hard time finding jobs? are RNs also having this trouble??

edit: I kid you not as soon as I clicked post on this, I got another rejection email.
