I'm starting to read reviews that say hotel views of the Matterhorn are blocked by cranes. I'll be there the second week of August, is the construction still going on then? Any particular part of town that would be better to stay in to avoid obstructed views?
How have the Zurich airport lines been for international departures? How early do I need to get there for a 9:50 am flight to the US?
I'll be coming home from Zurich and can either do my layover in IAD or ORD. This is in August so I'm eyeing thunderstorm activity which could maybe be bad either place. I'm inclined to pick ORD because I am heading to Denver and I don't really want to do the longer haul from IAD home. Layover is 1 hour 45 minutes for either airport, although both also offer longer options.
Edit: We do not have Global Entry but we do have MPC and TSA Precheck.
