These are some of the phrases I hate most on the entire internet, and you should hate them too. They don't get the hate they deserve. There are too many anime for kids (Pokémon, Beyblade, Ojamajo Doremi, Doraemon, Hamtaro, etc.), and the only reason to validate that anime isn't a cartoon is solely the target audience. There are tons of cartoons for adults (The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, etc.) that these two proverbs completely ignore. These two phrases are also the reason the cartoon and anime communities are divided. Why can't we coexist? Don't you think that would be better? And most of the people who use these phrases trash cartoons. It disgusts me, and I consider it a total injustice and a lack of respect for animation and even art. I'm a fan of both cartoons and anime, and I don't look down on either. If you only like one, that's fine, but what's wrong is denigrating an entire medium. It's disgusting. And on top of that, they send death threats to the people who say it, when in reality they're just harmless, casual viewers. It's truly disgusting.
