found this wicked bass synthy flute video on either r/obscuremusicthatslaps or some random flute sub. Really dug it and wanted to sample it. So this is the first couple bars sampled from that video and then dropped a beat behind it.

It’s been well over a month since I made anything on my MPC Live 2 and that is a long stretch for me. I was on a pretty productive tear there for a while. Just wasn’t feeling inspired lately I guess or maybe it’s all the World Cup matches that are taking me away from producing music… Anyway, I was over at my cousin’s house a couple weeks ago and sampled some stuff that he was working on and told him I would make my own project out of it so that is the beat that you hear coming out of my MPC and then I found some J. Cole freestyle to go over top of it. When I have things where I want them I’ll export the beat to Ableton and workshop the rest of it from there.

Made this beat on my r/mpclive. Always loved The Scientist and heard it on the radio a couple weeks ago and wanted to sample it. Grabbed a couple parts, pitched everything up +4, added drums and Bass Fat. Then I found the Kendrick Lamar vocal for Crooked and thought it fit well. Hope you enjoy!

Got some records from a friend a few weeks ago. I've been asking him for some more obscure stuff that would be ripe for sampling. Found these two Osibisa records in the new stash.
