Having relaxed hair sucks sometimes

Just wanted somewhere to rant:

I love my relaxed hair, have had relaxed hair majority of my life, however it’s so hard to upkeep it sometimes. I don’t relax at home and only go salons. Back home it was fine and I had a long time hair stylist on lock. My hair was growing more than ever, she even took a picture of it to show people her work and that relaxed hair can be health 🥹 Then I moved to a whiter environment and the aloof people who could do relaxers became slim to none. I already struggle doing my hair at home because of the amount of work and got used to just going to a salon. I called around for hours and the most ridiculous price I heard was $284 for a touch up, style and trim, like wtf?!?

It made me understand that I don’t have a much freedom as I want because I will always be concerned about who can do my hair. After 2 months of no styling and just washing at home, it looked horrible. Now I have to drive an hour to get it done every 2-3 weeks 🥲

I have ADHD and Graduated Summa Cum Laude!!

Hey guys, I have been a person who is in and out of this sub and just wanted to share that I finally looked at my diploma and it said summa cum laude. I actually can’t believe it, I’m scared they made a mistake, so I’m scared to tell people lol. I have suffered from a lot of issues and didn’t get diagnosed with ADHD until my final year, so I was raw dogging everything 😭 I just wanted to let you know it’s possible to succeed, all you have to do is work smarter not harder!!

If anyone has questions about how to do well in school while experiencing mental health issues, home/environmental issues, and/or neurological disorders, I got you!!

Good luck to people who are starting school, I wish yall the best!!❤️
