Didn't get CBT3 and no streamers that I know of shows all of the apex weapons and its abilities.

If you strip away the Guild's official permit system, the 18 Deviants from Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate actually split into two very distinct categories based on their lore. 11 of them are technically standard Variants, while only 7 are true Deviants.

🟢 The 11 "Variants in Disguise"

These standard-born individuals changed entirely due to lifetime aging, unique diets, or behavioral overexertion. Any regular member of their species could undergo this exact transformation given the right conditions:

• Hellblade Glavenus: Volcanic mineral diet and obsessive tail-sharpening.
• Thunderlord Zinogre: Lifelong golden Fulgurbug symbiosis.
• Drilltusk Tetsucabra: Asymmetrical jaws from right-tusk digging habits.
• Elderfrost Gammoth: Decades of compacted, unbreakable glacial ice.
• Crystalbeard Uragaan: Physical changes caused by eating rare gems.
• Redhelm Arzuros: Colossal size fueled by a strict carnivorous diet.
• Silverwind Nargacuga: Veteran silver fur and high-speed vacuum tail waves.
• Grimclaw Tigrex: Forearms permanently engorged from muscle overexertion.
• Stonefist Hermitaur: Senior shell calcification from endless defensive blocking.
• Nightcloak Malfestio: Behavioral adaptation using light-reflecting cloaking scales.

These monsters completely break the baseline rules of their species. Their existence requires a rare birth defect, catastrophic physical trauma, or an absolute genetic overhaul:

• Deadeye Yian Garuga: Born unique as a weak runt, forcing frantic survival.
