Help me with my debt

Need some advice.

I have an AED 145,000 personal loan with DIB. My salary is AED 6,000, and AED 3,000 goes toward EMI every month. I’ve been paying regularly for 3 years, but I can no longer manage.

I live in Sharjah with my wife and three children. After paying the EMI, the remaining salary is barely enough for rent, food, transport, and other basic expenses. I also support my parents and siblings in India. At this point, I’ve stopped thinking about saving money—it’s only about surviving month to month.

Over the years, I also topped up the loan several times to get some temporary relief and deferments. Looking back, that was probably my biggest financial mistake, but at the time I was only trying to keep my family afloat.

My next EMI is due on June 5, and I don’t think I can afford to pay it.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? What happens after a missed EMI with DIB? Is restructuring or settlement possible? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Please be kind. I am genuinely struggling and looking for guidance.
