When I upgrade my CPU, should I get a new mobo as well?

Im running the free version of windows, have an msi b450 gaming pro carbon ac, ryzen 2600 cpu, rx5700xt GPU, 16gb ram with various ssd and HDD storage devices. I experience frustratingly common blue screens and I notice games like grim Dawn and even minecraft start to drop fps these days, when I feel like I used to get solid 100+fps at all times even under heavier demand conditions.

Was looking at a new ryzen 5700x CPU because they still work with b450 mobos but has the newer pcie (not sure of that matters), but I also wonder if my older, cheaper mobo might be the cause of my cblue screens. Anything you guys can tell me would help, TIA!

Tonight's entrée for low light shallow walleyes

Here we have a hand made 3/8oz spinner with a size 4 black French Blade. I added some crinkly pink lure tape for flair. The hook is a size 1 octopus hook, with a size 6 (might be 4) treble stinger hook. I will be using this setup with my 7ft med fast CDN Custom and 2025 Tatula SV, 10lb Berkley fluoroshield with a 4", 12lb wire leader

I have found these French blades to spin even below 1.0mph so I will try casting and trolling this setup near shallow weeds adjacent to deeper drop offs, between 4 and 12 feet.

Besides changing the colour of the lure tape - of which I have several patterns, would you change anything about this plan?

The only thing I'd like is a buddy in the canoe to try chucking minnows in case my lures aren't producing haha

Here's a lure I made that does *not* work

I believe the Dakota blade is simply not suited to inline spinners like this. Anyone else tried these blades?
