Would start the folk of the air trilogy today
So I will be starting the series today what should I expect?
Completed this today
This is the second book in the Thursday Murder Club series.
Some of the quotes from the book that I liked
"You are simply a little lost, Donna. And if one is never lost in life, then clearly one has never traveled anywhere interesting."
"People love to sleep, and yet they are so frightened of death."
"We are all gone in the blink of an eye, and there is nothing to do but live while you're waiting."
Well this was certainly a great read
It revolves around a place called Cooper's Chase, a retirement home where old people come to live out the rest of their lives. It sounds a bit sad, but the book is actually funny, heartwarming, and full of life.
The people there know that one day their life will end here, but they still enjoy every moment. Then there is the Thursday Murder Club. Every Thursday they use the Jigsaw Room for it's free then for their own club activities, where they solve old unsolved murder cases just for fun. Then one day, someone actually gets murdered, and they finally get to work on their first real case.
"Well R.I.P and all they but he have a real murder case to solve" says joyce
It was beautifully written. Even though it's a murder mystery, it's the characters and their outlook on life that stayed with me the most.
Some quotes I really liked:
"There are silly, proper tears now. I'll let them fall. If you don't cry sometimes, you'll end up crying all the time."
"You always know when it's your first time, don't you? But you rarely know when it's your final time."
If you like murder mysteries that are also cozy and heartwarming, I'd definitely suggest giving this one a try.
Which book are you guys currently reading
So i am currently reading this and I am close to the end of part two. I feel like there is a whole lot of buildup on-going let's see what it has in store for the third part as I have been told that this is one of the best rom-com and I am waiting.
One thing I can say for sure is I feel there are people just ways and leagues apart from us.
Let me know what your thoughts are and also which book you are currently reading. Happy reading.
Books I finished in the first half of 2026
Completed it today would rate it 6/10
The rating could have been a bit more but the first half of the book was a little hard for me to read as the English was a little off for me.
Well from the second half the book was better readable.
The book follows a man called griffin who was a physicist and was experimenting invisibility and he succeeded, what we see is how a genius loses them self because he was so completely endorsed in his own experiments.
I think it's better than its prequel
Bought these 3 books at the trade fair today
Went to the book fair today, and bought these 3 books i honestly think that The thursday murder club HC was a steal at 150
Completed this book honestly it was a good read
With how the books start I thought about how it can go, maybe takako would end up working with her uncle in the book shop and inheriting it but it goes beyond it and I really like how it portrays the characters.
One out of twelve books completed
So describe the plot in a bad way:- A depressed man gets friendzoned twice
Well jokes aside, this was my first reading a classic novel, it had such log yap I am not complaining as the book was shot i had no issue reading it, but the vocabulary expansion was too much.
I really like how it portrays the main character how unrequited love should be when the man did not wish ill of Nastenka even after she said she will love him .
"My God, a whole moment of happiness! Is that too little for the whole of a man's life"
Well I would recommend it to anyone who wants to give it a go, but if you are a first time reader I would suggest you read this after you complete some books then you can come back to this.
Books I will be reading in the h2 of 2026
I recently bought these books and they are most different genres which should I start with first
