Answer pls

Has anyone gotten accepted for the Woodhaven apartment in Queens? (If so can I see pics of there two bedroom units ???)I got approved for a 2-bedroom unit and I’m currently waiting for my Homebase worker to assign me a case manager, but they’ve been moving so slow with that, smh.

The apartment is brand new, and since the listing was through Housing Connect, I’m assuming it already passed the inspection and rent review. Is that actually the case, or does it still need to go through those processes after you’re approved?

Help

Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone with FHEPS/HPD experience can help me.

I have a 1-bedroom FHEPS voucher, and I was originally approved for a 1-bedroom apartment. The rent is $2,606. I was also interested in a 2-bedroom in the same building, which is $2,636, and they put me on the waiting list for the 2-bedroom.

My question is: If a 2-bedroom becomes available, can HPD approve me for it even though my current voucher is for a 1-bedroom? Since the 2-bedroom rent is still below my voucher amount of $2,762, would I have to start the HPD approval process all over again?

Has anyone been in a similar situation with FHEPS/HPD? I’d really appreciate hearing what happened in your case. ❤️
