PGT-M and FET

Hi all,

I'm 31, and about to embark on my first frozen transfer at the end of July. We had PGT-M for an x linked disorder (fragile x) and we've got two viable embryos. I've had a pregnancy before which was a natural conception but it resulted in a TFMR at 14 weeks because our little boy was full mutation fragile x.

Basically I'm looking for general positive stories of similar... people who have had PGT-M and had success with their first FET, because they've had natural conceptions in the past?

Thank you to everyone for all the positivity in this group upto now. It's really carried me through my treatment and enabled me to keep the faith.

IVF

Hi all,

Quick question about IVF and embryo transfers.

Me and my husband (me 31f, him 38m) have done two cycles of IVF since October 2025. Our most recent one has given us two genetically viable embryos. We're doing IVF on the NHS due to me carrying a genetic condition which causes disability, so we've been lucky enough to qualify for 3 cycles of paid treatment.

We've got our consent for frozen embryo transfer on 26th June and I wanted to ask how women in this group have found this process? I haven't had a FET before and don't yet know what my protocol for this will be, I'm just trying to open up the floor for people's experiences. If it makes any difference, we're having all of our treatment at Bimingham Women's.

Thanks.

Hi all,

Quick question about telephone triage and hear and treat. Does anyone do this type of role? Interested to know what a 'day in the life' of this role is and if you enjoy it?

Thanks

Thoughts on this ECG? Attended this guy a few days ago, bit of history:

65yom, overweight, smoker. Poor diet.

3 day history of intermittent tight central chest pain, it had been worse overnight, radiating to left upper arm and jaw but didn't tell anyone til the morning and then 999 was called. Reports 2/10 pain when we were assessing him. He also had an expiratory wheeze (we were thinking undiagnosed COPD).

This is the second ECG, post paracetamol, aspirin and GTN. His first showed a little depression in limb lead ii and peaked t waves in v2,v3,v4,v5. We took to local ED. I'm no ECG expert but I had bad vibes about it, particularly with the changes in v2, v3, v4, v5 and with all his history.

Edit to add - patient hasn't attended his GP in years, takes no meds and has no known medical hx
