Valley of flowers or Hampta pass?

I'm planning my first Himalayan trek around the 3rd week of July and I'm torn between Valley of Flowers and Hampta Pass.

I'm moderately active, so I don't mind a bit of a challenge, but I'm mainly looking for the better overall experience. I enjoy photography, scenic landscapes and peaceful trails more than chasing the toughest trek.

If you've done both, especially in recent years, which one would you recommend and why? How were the crowds, weather, trail conditions and overall experience during that time of the season?

Would love to hear your honest opinions before I book. Thanks!

VOF on 5th July – Too Early for Blooms or the Perfect Time?

Planning the VOF trek on 5th July and looking for some advice from people who've done it before.

How are the conditions currently? Have the flowers started blooming properly or is it still a bit early? Would waiting another 2 weeks (mid to late July) make a significant difference in terms of blooms and overall experience?

My main concern is finding the right balance. I'd love to see the valley looking vibrant, but I'm also trying to avoid peak crowds and excessively rainy, slippery trails if possible.

For those who've trekked VOF in early July, how was your experience compared to later in the season? Would you recommend sticking with 5th July or postponing it a little?

Any recent ground updates, weather insights or personal experiences would be really helpful. TIA!

Anyone up for a photo walk, sunset chase or just a random stroll?

Hey Mumbai,
M25, from Coimbatore and currently here for business. Been wandering around the city alone and realised that some experiences are just better when shared with another human instead of your own thoughts.
I’m not really interested in the flashy, bollywood version of Mumbai. I’d rather discover the other side of the city, watch a sunset, walk by the sea, explore random streets or go on a photo walk.
A little about me: I’m into photography, nature, sunsets, cinema, philosophy and meaningful conversations. I’m an ambivert, not too talkative, not too quiet.
If that sounds like your kind of day, feel free to comment or DM.
And yes, I know asking strangers from Reddit to go for a stroll sounds slightly unhinged, but here we are :)

Spent a few days in Kolkata and tried to capture whatever caught my eye. These are some of my favourites.
