Efoootball is a sinking ship(repost)

This post is not about ranting on current situation of the game right now but rather on what awaits in the future.

That being said here I have 3 main points to discuss on whether the game is even sustainable or not:

  1. The Development problem--

Since 2021 Konami has genuinely stopped making major, ground-up football gameplay R&D effort, I genuinely don't know how long it can last before it falls so behind that it gets unplayable.

  1. The Gameplay problem--

Konami is slowly destroying the one thing that made people fall in love with it. It's not about ai, smart assist or network problem we are talking about, (which are big discussions on their own) it's about slowly stripping away the techniques of playing efootball with p2w skillsets. Their pattern is simple. At first, they locate the most used techniques like long range shooting with curl, finesse dribbling and then nerf them deliberately so that they can introduce skills like blitz curler or magnetic feet. They have been doing it for a long time but in recent update when they introduced snap shot, it genuinely scared me, because if they strip away the most basic functions of the game it would be impossible to even replicate anything close to football.

  1. The content problem--

There has been not a single day efootball has become interesting as a game aside from being an online arena. It feels like a mix of weekly cycle that keeps rotating. Everyday sign in and play daily games for engagement rewards and weekly play events for free coins and potw packs. And each week it's the same cards as in the pack opening due to lack of licencing. It's beyond interesting anymore.

Look licencing costs a lot of money but not game development to produce more content.

After saying all these I really don't know if efootball can even sustain itself at this point. Does the company have any genuine interest on keep developing the game for the next decade or efootball has become a quick cash grabbing before quitting the market?

Please let me know your thoughts that if spending time on this game even remotely useful or not.

About division 1

Hello, I maybe new to reddit and to the game compared to the veterans in this sub but finally after 2 years and 7 months I have finally reached division 1. So I started playing on November 2023, my brother recommended this game to me. Before it, I was playing dls mobile. I was never consistent enough to play this game for long time due to academic pressure. Usually I used to play the game once in 2-3 months. But I slowly started saving some coins and bought the messi ambassador pack. It was last year when I decided that my squad had enough depth to atleast start playing division matches. My goal to play division matches was only to retrieve 15 selective booster token each season by reaching division 3. But neither I had the squad nor the enough motivation to push for division games, up until konami introduced free show time player for the top 1 million ranked players Since then I tried multiple times but only went up to division 2 because I realised that you have to be consistently playing everyday to reach division 1. It was up until this season I finally pushed myself enough to reach division 1. As you can see from my win rate, it's not that impressive but still this journey was a tragedy in close up but comedy from far way. After this I am in dillema wheather to push for the next season or not. But most likely I won't because to me playing video games should be fun and I found the most fun playing 1v1 against my brother. Sure neither my brother nor me are that impressive but he remains the sole reason I find my only joy in this game. So I guess for my mental health it's better to enjoy game playing events and 1v1 with my brother. Thank you everyone for reading my story. I don't know how long this game will still remain good before konami destroys it

but it's better to enjoy it while it lasts than to be in agony. Thank you
