Disneyland Paris Bayside Clubhouse Bed Bugs and Allergic Reaction, next steps??

Hi everyone,

I recently went on a trip to Disneyland Paris and purchased a 2 night package at the Bayside hotel. Altogether, the package was nearly $1,500 for the stay, and park perks. Everything was okay the first day, honestly the hotel is a bit dirty but the aesthetic is super cool and we were fine with the room.

The next morning when I woke up, I was completely covered in bug bites and the left side of my face was completely swollen (see photos). We lost out on nearly the entire 2nd day of the package, we were dealing with hotel staff until 11 AM.. We had to throw out merch we had purchased that was on the bed the day before. I had to take steroids that Disney gave me as I was having an allergic reaction (I've never had bed bugs before so I didn't know I was allergic to them).

We filed a claim with the hotel, they tried to give us 2 $20 coupons and told us they couldn't refund the hotel, package or anything. They told us to call a Disney help line for any refunds, but they said they couldn't issue any refunds either and we'd have to send a letter in the mail as they don't have anyone we can talk to.

We opened up a claim with their staff, and we have a claim number, etc. Disney just responded to my email this morning (now that we're back in the USA), and is saying the next step is to send a letter in the mail again for their claims department.

I'm going to send a letter I guess, but has anyone been through something like this?? They're not giving me anyone to talk to, just giving me empty promises that things could be refunded, etc. The swelling on my face didn't go down for almost a week so I was taking steroids each day to help, and the bite marks are still all over me.. they're not swollen but IDK if they are going to be scars.

It's really frustrating to just tell me to send something in the mail with no other explanation of anything, and I'm honestly at a loss besides just sending something in the mail. Anyone that can help me with next steps or what I should do??

**Edit**

After they replied this morning to me (finally), I messaged them back asking how is it fair to mail in a letter from the USA - that alone is going to be costly and take loads of time. This was the reply:

Thank you for your reply.

We confirm that we have transmitted your postal address to the dedicated Claims Department.

Their reply will be sent to you as soon as their research has been concluded. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Should you wish to further contact the Claims Department, please know that you may do so in reply to this email. We will make sure your messages are forwarded to them.

It's already been 10 days since our incident report was filed with no clear steps of what to do!

I’m Officially debt free! 34k paid off in 7 months

Making this post because I don’t really have anyone to tell!

I 30m posted my plan in this sub previously here: https://www.reddit.com/r/debtfree/s/y2vc8ixn0O where I outlined my plan to pay off all my debt aggressively in 2 months.

TLDR: It hadn’t been easy, I started with 13k in cc debt, and 21k on my Tesla. I haven’t gotten any inheritance, I haven’t talked to my parents in 12 years or had any financial help, and I have a high school diploma but a lot of experience in my industry. I did this all by myself and really budgeted. I went from a very stressful life of owning a home I was drowning in, to selling and moving to a luxury apartment complex where my bills are cut in half!

It took me 5 months to pay off the cc debt, and I paid off $18k off the Tesla in 2 months. My complex had a 2 month credit when I moved in so it was only $305 per month so I used that time to put every paycheck toward the Tesla.

I don’t have any open credit cards nor do I plan to open any new CC’s, and the Tesla’s insurance is $190 per month (I use my complex electricity for charging so it’s free to drive for the most part unless I need to use a supercharger on roadtrips😈)

I currently have over $70k in my savings.. I really need to start working on my 401k and moving these funds into something that will compound so if anyone has suggestions I’d love to know.

Tesla 2021 model 3 standard range plus only getting 120 miles at 100%?

Hey everyone,

I got a used 2021 standard range plus in February from Tesla. I’m starting to become very worried about the range, so much so that I did a test today and had really sub par results.

Here’s some stats because I’d like to know next steps:

- It was listed at an estimated range of 263 miles
- at 100% my Tesla shows a range of 206 miles
- no tint
- wheels seem to be stock wheels/rims
- purchased the Tesla at 75k miles and currently closing in on 90k. 89,905 to be exact.
- I live in Orlando, fl.
- car doesn’t seem to have any other issues, no alignment issues, psi is normal.

Today’s test:
- today I average 260 wh/mi, driving 75 mph, ac set to auto 72 degrees.
- sentry mode always on
- elevation is showing a very minimal affect on range +0.4%
- started with 100%, and arrived to the charging station at 10% after 112 miles driven.
- this effectively means I get 100 miles at 80% on the way high.

Does this seem normal or my expectations too high? I did the calculations and it looks like my battery might be at 79% of what it should be.. I have a warranty up to 100k miles for a new battery, is it time to book an appointment with Tesla?

Sold my truck and now the buyer can’t get it titled in his name, it’s confusing and niche as hell

Hi everyone,

I live in Florida, but I had a truck that I originally drove from Pennsylvania when I moved here. I decided to sell it and found someone in Pennsylvania who really wanted it. I sold the car, did the bill of sale, etc. the car still was titled in PA, but tags expired.

What we DID NOT do was notarize my signature on the title because Florida doesn’t require that. We just notarize the bill of sale - so now the buyer is in Pennsylvania and he cannot transfer the title to his name as he doesn’t have my signature notarized.

I’ve been calling notaries around Florida all day trying to figure out if they’ll notarize my signature and they’re all saying they will not because Florida doesn’t require it. I’ve researched remote notaries and I asked the DMV if that’s acceptable and they’re saying it’s not.. that it must be an in person notary. How would they know I guess?

So does the buyer mail me the title, and I find someone who can notarize it in Florida? Do we try a mobile notary and see if it works out? The situation is so niche, I can’t find a straight answer anywhere for next steps?

Looking for help!

I’m currently 6 months into a director position and I’ve significantly changed the business. I make about $135k per year, and I’m currently 15x my salary in new business and profits.

The owners really like me, send me random gift cards and tell me how much they love me, they gave me a $5k bonus end of last year after only 2 months on the job. I’ve started 2 new departments for SEO and CRO and they’re generating $125k/month in contracts.. I’ve saved 4-5 clients and converted some big projects.. the thing is, almost none of the above is in my JD, I am a strategy director and I’m supposed to be helping building new services (not help sign deals, or managing them but I am), and roadmapping for our retainers. But now I find myself optimizing company profits (incorporating a new time tracking system process), hiring new employees for all departments, I’m included in all big decisions at the agency.. I almost feel like I’m on the ownership teams it’s too the point where I’m producing at such a high level that I feel I should be compensated much more for it.. my previous company offered my partial ownership or share in company profits which I would really like to ask for.

We have a weekly call on Thursday, so I really wanted to chat with them about moving to a Chief of Revenue position with a bonus structure as I feel I’ve proven myself to this point. I don’t think they’ll take it negatively, but on the same token I want to ask respectfully. Any thoughts on how to approach this?
