Multiple cars on this 6 hour scheme

There's been a few posts about this new 6 hour limit but I'm still not clear on how it will work. I think there's a few things that make all the comments and feedback a bit confusing as different people have different setups. Cars that talk or don't to octopus app, chargers that talk or don't to the app, cars that talk to their charger or not, 'granny chargers, managing the charge in their car app or car config etc.

I've an Ohme and multiple cars to charge. I let octopus schedule the charging events in the Ohme. Today I can get cheap charging via octopus go in the day on one car and plug another in for the 23:30-05:30 window.

My understanding is I won't be able to get more than 6 hours charging across the cars going forward. That's quite a few kWh I'll be paying full price for compared to today if I'm right.

This all depends on Octopus being able to determine the load is going to cars so I guess I could 'hide' that by deregistering and disabling smart features. Leave the one at home more in the day registered and 'hide' the other. But that seems stupid.

Do I have the right understanding? The workaround seems so obvious I don't see how the cap is workable for multiple cars. Thoughts?

Time to protect pension with stock at historic highs?

I'm probably 5 years away from early retirement and work part time(to stay sane), assuming things continue as they are, but is that realistic? Historic highs in stock markets would imply that we are near a crash. My largest pension isn't my active pension. I probably need to instruct provider I play to retire early and get funds moved to safer options. What are other people doing who are in my situation?

Network issues or traffic shaping?

I've been having weird network issues last few days. Some examples and for the record this is across multiple devices. Son, can watch YouTube but can't use Discord for audio. Daughter Tiktok videos fine, tiktok pictures ok but music missing and can see the app trying to get it. Instagram not refreshing. Messager messages occasionally delayed 15 minutes. Apps like games not opening get to 96-98% then stop. All the while 4k video works on the virgin streaming. Working from home over VPN and that's fine, as was ms teams video calls. Router connected at 540 down and 150 up. To me it seems that video streaming is prioritised in the network and everything else can go to hell.

Engineer came and checked everything replaced router and repeaters (understandably first step but not likely cause).

Is this an isolated issue? VM App says no issues in our area for broadband. My theory is if network capacity suddenly reduced they'd prioritise streaming to make sure the video service didn't fail, but it's been days.

Copper tape - anyone ne else had success?

When we built our raised beds during covid lockdown I installed adhesive copper tape under the lip all the way around. My impression is that this has made a huge difference to number of slugs and zero snails getting at my plants. Has anyone else tried it?

This pair of solar powered fans know how to blow when it gets hot and steamy in my greenhouse. The sunnier it is the harder they work.
