My mother expects me to practice only 2-4 hours right from scratch in preparation for the behind the wheel test as she says it is very easy, because she claimed that she self taught herself one hour for driving before the test and that’s how she managed to get the driving license. She would never let me practice with her as I would only get private lessons for 2 2-hour sessions and then take the test right after. Is this normal or this is beyond expectations, because I have seen posts that you need 20+ hours of practice before even taking the test. I am 18+.

I am notoriously picky about my scheduling, interested in both of the classes but I can only take one due to reasons, cannot do both. The option is either Digital Circuits (FPGAs, Verilog-based design, data path and control) or Digital Signal Processing (discrete time linear systems, Z-transforms, FFTs and filter design, Fourier), the teacher for DSP is overall more efficient but the class has more rigor and taxing on the exams. Let me know which is a better class in the long run.

The one with all the glissandos etc. During the 20th century barely any prominent pianists played it as the piece was probably in obscurity (excluding the orchestral one) Nowadays it seems many people and their dog from conservatories is playing it as I heard it unusually a lot in competitions, festivals, etc. so what caused this sudden trend in popularity which I do not understand.
