So, I figured I'd post more about StarTale (My Undertale x Star Wars crossover AU. See this post for more info: https://www.reddit.com/r/UndertaleAU/comments/1uuylut/startale/

And I figured I'd make this post to make some lore and clear up any possible holes in the continuity.

So, as I mentioned in the post, the canonicity of some things are different than they are in the base Star Wars canon. In the StarTale AU:

-The Expanded Universe is canon (So the Old Republic era is canon, the Post-ROTJ Luke Adventures are canon, etc.)

-Only five pieces of Disney Star Wars media are canon to StarTale, those being: The later seasons of Clone Wars, The Bad Batch, Andor, Rogue One, and Seasons 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian

-The Sequel Trilogy is not canon

As well as that, there are a couple things that I made canon to make Undertale really feel like it fits in with the universe of Star Wars. For instance:

-Gold becomes New Republic Credits

-Instead of new weapons, Frisk instead finds power crystals to add to their lightsaber

-The reason why many minibosses are Mandalorians is because Papyrus establishes early on that The Underground has a pretty big Mandalorian problem, which is what lead The Underground to call upon the New Republic for help.

And finally, one massive hole that would directly go against the continuity of Star Wars if I left it completely unaddressed:

One thing you might have noticed is that the Jedi here are a lot more emotionally open than you'd expect. I mean, not only are they expressing emotion openly to others and to each other, but two Jedi (Toriel and Asgore) got married and had a kid, something that is basically completely unheard of throughout any other era. Well, that's because:

In this AU, when Luke was creating the new Jedi Order, one thing he concluded was that the old Order's complete rejection of any kind of emotion or openness is part of what lead to it's downfall. So as such, the new code says that, while one should not let emotion become their master, emotion itself is not completely forbidden.

So that's why many of the characters are so emotionally open despite them being Jedi, and why two Jedi got married. I'm a dedicated Expanded Universe fan, and I felt like this would fit EU Luke like a glove, considering he got married to Mara Jade in one of the stories from that era.

I'm not sure if that title is already claimed by another AU, but it was what I thought would be best since "UnderWars" sounds a little too generic.

So, what is my StarTale AU? Well...it's Undertale crossed with Star Wars.

The story of the AU takes place post-ROTJ during the time of the New Republic, in a universe where the Sequel Trilogy is not canon (Felt like that was necessary), in which The Underground has become a border territory of the New Republic following a diplomatic agreement between the Chancellor of the Republic and the former King of The Underground. To go along with that, all the major bosses you face in the game...are Jedi.

In this AU, the Royal Guard is a detachment of the Jedi Order sent by the Galactic Senate to keep the peace in The Underground, which means, as I've already said, all the boss monsters are Jedi. Toriel is a former Knight in the Jedi Guardian class, Papyrus is a Padawan in the Jedi Sentinel class, Undyne is a Master in the Jedi Guardian class, Mettaton is basically General Grievous, and Asgore is a Master in the Jedi Consular class. Which, as you might have guessed...means they can all use The Force.

However, not everyone can use The Force, as some are just ordinary people. For example, Sans is like a more laid back version of Han Solo, a lot of the mini bosses are Mandalorians (With the only exceptions being the Royal Guards, who are both Padawans in the Jedi Guardian class, and Muffet), Monster Kid remains basically completely unchanged, with the major thing being that he's obsessed with the idea of becoming a Jedi and constantly talks trash about the Dark Side.

Also, in this AU, Frisk is Force-sensitive, and as the story progresses, Frisk learns more and more about The Force, continually being trained in the ways of it, as well as being trained in Lightsaber combat, and which side of The Force they become strong in depends on which route they take. If they take the Pacifist Route, they become stronger in the Light Side, and if they take the Genocide Route, they become stronger in the Dark Side.

The story behind the Dreemurrs, I was thinking could be something like this: Asriel was once a Padawan within the Jedi Consular class, and when Chara fell down, much of the plot played out the same as it does in regular Undertale. In the village raid, when Chara's soul is merged with Asriel's, the things she tells Asriel to do essentially encourages him to fall to the Dark Side, but he refuses, eventually dying. But instead of Asriel's soul becoming one with The Force like it's supposed to, the hatred and anger in Chara's soul holds him back, eventually imprisoning him within Flowey, a vessel made of pure hatred, an embodiment of the Dark Side.

Following this, every Jedi within The Underground all simultaneously feel a great disturbance in The Force (Similar to, say, Obi-Wan feeling the destruction of Alderaan, or Yoda sensing Order 66). And after finding out about everything, Toriel is outraged, ultimately concluding the Jedi are incapable of keeping the peace as they were supposed to, renouncing her position as a Jedi Knight and fleeing to the Ruins.

And to top everything off...every major character uses a different Lightsaber technique to fit their character.

-Toriel uses a curved-hilt Lightsaber, as she is heavily skilled at the Makashi dueling form, and curved-hilts often offer massive advantages to practitioners of that form.

-Papyrus uses the generic Lightsaber

-Undyne uses a Double-Bladed Lightsaber

-Mettaton does the whole "Multiple arms and multiple sabers" thing Grievous did

-Asgore duel wields Lightsabers
