Hi so I got into Undertale a little late (around 2017) and haven't engaged with the fandom much at all but I started developing this AU I've just been calling "Heir".

The premise was originally just "what would have happened if Chara and Asriel never died"

and it turned into this big period drama basically where Frisk is the only human to survive the fall after Chara (bc of resets ig idk) and the three siblings get left the kingdom and it's this big stupid war

(If I can find art I will add it warning it will be old and bad

There are 8 very old very crummy chapters of it on Wattpad y'all I was WORKIN...

And I've been wanting to rework the story a little)

To the point though

I initially headcannoned both Frisk and Chara as female because

I was watching Jacksepticeye play the game before I could afford it and... that's literally the only reason.

I would like to at this time say I am nonbinary, I'd hope I think nonbinary people are valid.

All of that to say I've come under the understanding that giving any of the Toby Fox playable characters genders is a bad

Which if I can speak freely kinda bums me out because at least for Chara, them being a woman was pretty centric to their character in my fic.

The backstory i fabricated centered around being a woman in vaguely the 1600s.

That was the big one.

i didn't do it intentionally but I realized as I was starting my rewrite that entire part of the story doesn't work if they aren't afab.

They also play the role of a surrogate mother to Frisk because in my adaptation while Torial wasn't a bad mother she didn't really know how to care for a human baby.

Asriel is our male representation

Frisk's gender doesn't matter particularly to me at this moment partly because the character never ages over 10 in the fic...

I sincerely apologize if this is disrespectful I don't want to be offensive but is it actually a rule now that all Frisk/Chara content has to be gender neutralized atm. I can do it I don't have a particular issue with changing it i just don't prefer to change things especially things that big especially on something 8 years in progress.

Oc lore: There are two kids Mitzi the kindness soul and Chiko the bravery soul theyre siblings and there is war where they lives and they home exploded, after the war paused they started exploring together with the last things they could save but it was snowy outside so they just fell down, I have a bit more about them but I might share them as drawings o maybe a short 2-3 page comic. He's an ink sans recolor from a scratch fangame that can summon different variants of ink sans including ink papyrus, ink chara, ink asriel and even ink jevil. Dunno why he's not just called ink!ink!
