The original post ALWAYS had the implication there was something in there with you, that wasn't something people who were a fan of the concept just made up or something, The Backrooms ALWAYS had monsters in it

It's not even that I have a specific problem with people DISLIKING the inclusion of Monsters. You can say you dislike the oversaturation of monsters and entities in the Backrooms, sure, that's fair. You could say you just prefer interpretations where The Backrooms is just endless emptiness that drives you crazy and it's always just you, fair enough, I like both. It's SPECIFICALLY the take that Monsters RUINED it that bugs me because that implies there was ever a point in time where Monsters or at least A Monster WASN'T part of it, when that point in time just doesn't exist. No one came along at any point after the original post and suggested "hey this is cool and all but what if there was a SCARY MONSTER in there with you," Monsters and Entities were ALWAYS there, that was a part of it from the START

You can dislike the monsters all you want but DON'T act like there was ever an era where The Backrooms DID NOT have monsters or entities or anything in it

idea for an asym where the survivors are the stereotypical asym killers and the killers are incomprehensible eldritch horrors (i made a similar post months ago but this is supposed to be more of a general discussion rather than a full on concept with specifics)
