Geography honours at BHU or Geology at CUSB?

BHU ki allocation list aaj aayi hai. Mujhe Geography with Education minor ya English minor mil rha h. Wo karna zyada behtar hoga ya CUSB se Geology?

As far as I've researched course to CUSB me zyada behtar hai par wo 2025 me hi start hua hai.

Any opinions will be appreciated 🙏🧡

From now on if there's snark on Kelly posting her children can we not post said children here please?

Same as the title. But what's really the point of downloading those pics and posting them here? Don't care about the fact that you're covering their faces or bodies, it's still creepy to download the pics of children you don't know.

any thoughts on my preference list especially from seniors please?

scoring 317/500

category: obc-ncl

hostel is quite important for me that's why mmv is on top and my mom insisted i keep fmc in the options as well though it's unlikely that someone not getting in mmv will get into fmc.

Where can I see the subject preferences please?

I completed my profile, applied for B.A. and paid the 300 rs registration fee but I can't see the preference list or anything like that. I want to apply for English honours. Please help this girl out! 🥺🙏

Your salicylic acid product is probably useless. Here's why: 😫

If you have oily, acne-prone skin, you've probably bought a salicylic acid/bha product. A face wash, a serum, a gel. "2% Salicylic Acid" is the standard most brands offer.

But recently I learned one chemistry fact that made me realize almost everything I used was lying to me. The one rule that decides if your BHA works:

Salicylic acid has a pKa of 2.97. At this pH, 50% is in its active free-acid form. The free acid penetrates the pore and exfoliates. The salt form does nothing.

Here's the reality at different pH levels:

· pH 3.0 : ~50% active

· pH 4.0: <10% active

· pH 5.0: <1% active

· pH 5.5+: dead

Now let's look at products popular in the Indian market that oily skin folks reach for.

Minimalist 2% SA + LHA Cleanser: Disclosed pH: 4.5 to 5.0. The salicylic acid is almost completely neutralized. The LHA does mild lifting, but the BHA itself is asleep. You bought a gentle cleanser with a BHA label.

Sebogel (2% SA + 6% Niacinamide): Contains Carbomer. Carbomer needs a pH of 5.5 to 6.5 to hold its gel form. At that pH, salicylic acid is a salt. Sebogel is a functional niacinamide serum. It is not a BHA exfoliant.

Dot & Key CICA 2% Salicylic Acid Gel Cleanser: Carbomer again. Same structural problem. The gel texture proves the pH is too high for free acid activity.

Derma Co 2% Salicylic Acid Face Wash: No pH disclosed. It's a gentle foaming cleanser, which almost always means a pH of 4.5 to 5.5 for skin tolerance. The BHA is likely inactive here too.

Saslic DS (2% SA): A pharmacy product, often recommended by derms. The ingredient list shows a surfactant-based wash. No pH disclosure. The pattern holds.

Why do brands do this? Because a true low-pH BHA stings. It's hard to formulate into a pleasant foaming cleanser or a clear Carbomer gel. So they add the ingredient, set the pH to skin-friendly levels, and sell you a story. The label is technically true. The molecule is in the bottle. It's just chemically dead.

What actually works: A leave-on product with a disclosed pH of 3.0 to 4.0. Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid (pH 3.2-3.8) and COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid (pH ~4.0, with gentler betaine salicylate) but they’re more on the expensive side imo. 😢😩

Stop trusting the percentage on the front. Ask the pH. If the brand won't tell you, or the product has Carbomer and feels gentle, your BHA is asleep.
