Leagues has made me want to give RS3 another shot
Long time OSRS player that has bounced off of rs3 a few times over the years. Hit rune on my first account and now approaching mithril on my randomized playthrough.
I’ve tried RS3 several times over the years - both as a main and an ironman. I enjoyed the game but was turned off by the predatory mtx (which unfortunately i was susceptible to, hence trying iron) and most of all the dailyscape/fomo aspects.
I’ve been following the road to restoration updates closely, which have seemed super promising, and after seeing a lot of changes in action during the league, can definitely say they’re a huge improvement!
Once I’m through with the league, im thinking of making a new account and playing through as an unofficial bronzeman (if you’re not familiar, tldr a main account but wont buy anything off GE that i havent gotten myself at least once - helps alleviate supply upkeep etc while still keeping that amazing sense of gear progression on an iron). Has anyone here done that sort of thing on rs3?
Lastly - I’ve seen Jagex has been teasing some big change coming sometime soon-ish. I’ve seen a lot of speculation about this - one theory being that it may be some sort of fresh start economy/worlds? If so, that would be exciting but that does make me a bit hesitant to start a new account now as I’d hate to lose that progress if they announce something that makes me want to start a new character.
