I was lucky enough to score this at the local thrift store for $165 for the 4 panel set. It reminds me of something I would see at a Chinese restaurant. The Mother of pearl work is exquisite. I have looked and saw so many other 4 panel works that are similar. Is this a certain style or was there a timeframe where this was popular and considered something nice to display in your home opposed to in a restaurant.

Such great designs, the one with liquor is much more vibrant.

Found this cherry coke journal, they match so well, with some nostalgia on top!

The first 2 are from the NEMO anime movie.
The second is a sketch of Key from the Anime Key: The metal idol.
The last is Sister Jill from the 1970s anime Cutie Honey.

Been seeing so many cels recently, I just wanted to share and see if anyone has any thoughts.

Do any of you guys ever prepare a food, and it ends up looking like itself (the animal) once preparation is complete? My example is this chicken breast that looks like a chicken. Or this piece of fish from fish fry, and it looks very fishy to say the least. It happens often enough that I try and capture them in the wild so to say. Anyone else get this at your kitchen job?
