Emx500. How?

Emx500. How?

Hey everyone,

I’m mostly an IEM user with almost zero flathead experience. Aside from a random no-name AliExpress pair, I picked up a proper set of flatheads and I'm impressed, despite the awful out-of-the-box experience.

The presentation is terrible, the stock cable sucks, and the included tips are useless. However, the actual sound is fantastic—warm, smooth, and very easy to listen to. The bass is pleasant and gets the job done, even if it lacks heavy slam.

Quick question:

Am I actually hearing the good side of flatheads here? If I upgrade to a higher-end set, can I expect more of this warm, relaxed sound with better technicalities, or is this basically the ceiling for the form factor?

Rediscovering the magic of Mayumi Itsuwa

The production is a masterclass in natural timbre and vocal intimacy. It’s rare to find a record that holds your attention for hours without a hint of harshness—just absolute, soulful clarity. A timeless benchmark for testing natural decay and midrange lushness.

Day 1 with my new dap. Everything I asked for. And more.

Shanling m1 plus. Simply hi-res music with no distractions. It came without case and i would recommend getting one as soon as possible. Also couldn't figure how to to connect it to my lap using type c to transfer data to the sd card (thats assuming that it can). But eventually i used adapter for the sd card separately then inserted it in the dap.
