We just switched to Directv Stream from DTV Satellite. Our house was built with a dedicated AV closet upstairs where the receiver and old satellite HDVR Genie & wireless bridge are located. To get started and do the trial I just plugged the box directly into a HDMI port on the tv but now that we know we're keeping the service want to remove the old satellite equipment. Hoping that perhaps we can just unplug satellite equipment and plug Osprey into same port? We do have some of those IR emitters connected to the equipment since it's not true line of sight and the system was programmed to work with a URC MX-780 universal remote. We'll just leave our firestick or ONN streaming device connected directly to the tv (and already programmed into the URC universal remote) but will probably have to get AV company back out to reprogram from Directv satellite to the Osprey box. Our receiver is a Denon AVR-X2800H.

If anyone has a similar set up or can walk me through making this switch it would be most appreciated! Out of curiosity is this something Directv would come out to do?

I have just spent all day filing complaints with the CA State AG, UPS Fraud, the FBI internet Crime Center, the FTC Fraud Division and the BBB since Mercari's US General Counsel has refused to issue me an immediate refund and ban a Seller who defrauded me and turned around and resold the exact item (I have tinestamped photographic proof with same serial number sold to me) which violates Mercari's own policies. I had to escalate the issue to his boss in Japan to keep the issue at the front. The Seller got mad when I contacted them about slow shipping beyond Mercari's 3 day shipping rule and told me to go buy item elsewhere, then immediately generated a fake UPS label telling Mercari item was already shipped. In reality she immediately relisted and resold item but I caught her because item relisted had same serial number as my item clearly commiting fraud and violating Mercari policy. But the General Counsel is trying to say UPS might have lost item and they are holding my funds hostage for another 10 days. There is no way UPS has lost an item for a week.

This whole operation is shady and I hope it sinks faster than the Titanic.

My app was set up for use with my DTV Satellite service which is ending 8/14. We have been on a trial of DTV Stream which we will be keeping. I was about to set a recording but noticed it is defaulting to record to the Satellite DVR. How do I switch the app to default to cloud recording?

Just switched from DTV Satellite to DTV Stream and am using a Gemini box. My question is about recording. I set up a series recording but can't recall if there was an option to only record new episodes and today it looks like a bunch if eps recorded that are not new.

Other question is about setting up future recordings by date - in Satellite Guide you could select a channel in guide click it and see dates on left hand side. You'd simply choose a date click it and see all shows for that date. Is there a similar ability in the Stream guide?

We just switched over from DTV Satellite to Stream. I had an old Osprey/Gemini box that was sent to me for an unknown reason and glad now I held on to it. I now need a couple more boxes and it seems like the SKU 60233 boxes are the ones to seek out. I looked at ebay as someone suggested but having to manually go through 150+ listings is tedious to say the least.

Any other places to look?
