Are marriage agencies taboo?

I am a woman who lived and worked in Germany. I am not Asian. Recently, I started to think about marriage.

I have been involved with Japan very much as I practice traditional arts for over a decade and I have stayed in Japan many times. In Europe it is quite difficult to get married becuase marriage is seen as something unnecessary, even obsolete. I am a bit more traditional so I’d like to have traditional life as well, so I started researching into marriage agencies
.

My question is: are marriage agencies legit way to meet trustworthy people? My concern is my safety as a woman. Dating apps didn’t work for me because most people hide their intentions and are not serious. I have found several marriage agencies that charge significant membership prices so I wanted to ask Japanese people, are such places legit and can you really meet trustworthy partners there? I am completely fine if agency asks proof of my single status and legal status.

I would like to meet Japanese person who is interested to live abroad (Germany), at least for some time.

Also, I’d like to continue working after getting married, is my wish something unusual for Japanese people? I like Japanese culture and I am especially attracted to the idea of being traditional mother, but I’d also like to remain working. I speak several European languages and I’m learning Japanese. Is learning traditional art in Japan seen as strange?

Ausbildung after career in Germany (C1 German)

I was working in Germany as a designer for 12 Years, my German level is C1, however due to economic crisis I have been unemployed for a long time now. I have been trying to apply to any kind of job but I was faced with skepticism and hiring managers thought that I would just leave when I find an office job.

My question - how to write an Ausbildung application in such a way that will convince employer that I’m really serious? I’m willing to start from the bottom even though I’m almost 40 becuase I don’t want to be unemployed anymore and I like living in Germany. But I’m faced with rejections either due to previous career or due to age.

Does anyone know of an Ausbildung company or position that is open to older applicants with previous unrelated professional experience?
Are there any Ausbildungs where they really desperately need people? I tried hospitality and hotels but I got no replies.

German C1, living in Germany since 2014, no visa needed

Advice from UX designers who got a job

I am a UX designer who has been living in Germany for over a decade. Unfortunately I was never lucky with jobs and they all ended in layoffs due to restructuring. After the last layoff I’ve been unable to find work ever since, it’s been a long time now and I’ve sent 1000+ both tailored and non-tailored applications . I track all my applications and keep statistics )ratio of applications and interviews).

Of course, I speak fluent German and I conduct interviews in German.

Recently I’ve been noticing more and more successful stories from people in ux design and I’d like to ask you designers who managed to get a job, how did you do it and would you be open to several advice sessions (paid of course, I don’t want to waste anyone’s time). I’ve already been working with job coaches but it didn’t really help me land a job, however I think people from the same profession perhaps might be able to offer more insight.

Electrician Ausbildung after office work in Germany

I have lived and worked in Germany for over 10 years. Unfortunately I have never recovered after the last layoff due to economic crisis and I have been unemployed ever since. I have considered starting an Ausbildung, any type that would give me secure job prospects.

I am a woman , 37, and my profession was product designer.
I have heard trades are the way to go now so I was considering applying for electrician Ausbildung or something comparable that is in demand. Unfortunately I don’t have much interest in typical women’s trades as I am not good with children and old people, and I don’t see myself as a carer. I always liked computers and I worked in IT but I was told by Agentur fur Arbeit that any IT Ausbildung is now useless and that there are no jobs in IT anymore.

I speak fluent German and have unlimited right to stay in Germany.

My question is:
- how to write a good cv for Ausbildung and minimize my previous work experience? I have already went to job interviews for manual labour positions but they were suspicious as I only worked office jobs

- is it possible for a woman to get hired in an Ausbildung such as electrician, car maintenance (for car electronics) and similar? I am much better working with machines than with people, and I have engineering diploma (which I am aware is useless for an Ausbildung so I don’t intend to mention it)

- becuase I know Ausbildung is intended for young people, I will have to find some extra job to make the ends meet. Is it allowed to take up mini job or to have freelance business on the side? I plan on freelancing as a designer but that job is not enough anymore as a full time occupation

I have tried applied to some Ausbildung positions already but I haven’t heard from any of them. I want to call them and talk in person. Does anyone know is electrican trade very competitive and does it involve lifting heavy weights?
Is it viable to get employed as a 40 year old after I graduate or would companies prefer younger people?

How to find a teacher willing to teach foundation technique to adults

Hello to everyone. Last year I started going to a local studio with much enthusiasm. Despite some hurdles I continued going throughout the year not wanting to be the one who quits early, yet, now after a full year I have realised that it is not the studio for me. The teacher is not giving any technical corrections, let alone individual corrections to me nor anyone else, even after talking to her multiple times and I’ve made peace with the fact that they cater solely to recreational purpose in sense of moving your body, getting some performance experience etc. Nothing against that of course, but as I already have performance experience it’s not my main drive, I’d like to mold my body habits and I know it takes time and lots of repetitive exercises.

I’m ideally looking for a teacher who would give me a solid technical foundation, of course at a beginner level. I have experience in another dance style opposite of ballet so that’s something that creeps into my technique.
This is the only studio in my area so I was wondering if anyone knows of an online teacher that doesn’t cost arm and leg.

I have also recorded myself dancing and it is totally visible that I have 0 technical foundation meaning I’d have to start from scratch. I have contacted formal schools but they rejected me saying that their teachers don’t give any private lessons. My question - how to find a teacher who is willing to give real technical ballet lesson to an adult?

Best ways to reach C2 German

My profession (UX design) has become extremely competitive and language requirements have risen to C2 and native level. I am a senior designer and my current t german level is only C1, my question is what is the best way to reach C2 and secure employment again? At this point I’ve lived in Germany for over a decade but I’ll probably have to leave temporarily due to lack of jobs. I plan on working hard to become desired at the job market again and I am considering several options to improve my chances that would simultaneously enable me to reach native level fluency. I have actually been complimented by Germans because I don’t have much of an accent but of course to a native ear it is impossible to hide that I am a foreigner. My goal is to work hard on my job skills and German skills so that I can fit into German society again.

I was considering enrolling into Germanistik Bachelor degree as I love teaching and it would enable me to perfect German to a native level as well as to prepare to become a teacher if I want to.

Another option is to study something related to my work experience (like Wirtschaftsinformatik) but entirely in German (C1 is hopefully enough to enroll into university). That way I could expand my current knowledge and hopefully reach native level fluency.

Third option is to study Kindheitspädagogik because I’ve read it highly sought after and I could use my design knowledge to work creatively with children. It would be a big change but I already have experience working with people and maybe a humane job like that would expand my horizons.
However I’m not sure if this area would enable me to reach native academic level fluency.

I’m open to suggestions especially from people who have managed to reach C2!

I’ve lived in DE for 12 years and worked as a product designer - unfortunately I have to leave due to lack of jobs in my field. I’d like to use time home to study again for an area that is highly sought after , so that I can return and live in Munich. I’ve been to BIZ and asked about Erzieher Ausbildung but they didn’t seem interested and just told me it is a 3-5 years long Ausbildung and that it’s not for me (?).
I want to ask people who have stable careers in Munich for advice - what is the best way to start all over again. I’ve also looked at Fernstudium programs in German that I could finish from my home country and then return. My only goal is stable job prospects and salary that would enable me to live like before in Munich.

I’ve lived in Germany for 12 years and I’m forced to leave Munich due to unemployment.
I want to return so badly - I speak German C1 level, my whole professional experience is in Germany. I’ll be forced to move out in few months and already now I’m thinking of ways to return either through Ausbildung or any other means. Can someone help me with advice? I know once when I lose apartment it will be impossible to find new one.

Maybe someone was in a similar situation so I’ll ask… I’ve been in Germany for 12 years, worked in my profession (product design) from the beginning. My last job was cancelled due to restructuring and ever since that time I’m unable to find anything else. I’ve invested a lot in my life in Germany so it’s not easy decision to just quit everything , and I do have the right to apply at Jobcenter once my ALG1 runs out…on the other hand I receive no support from my surroundings, Arbeitsamt is not helping at all and I’m left on my own while clearly unable to land another job due to crisis / market / whatever factor X. I have even inquired about Ausbildung possibilities but was strongly discouraged by providers themselves - as soon as they hear about my education and professional experience they’re not interested. I was looking at Ausbildungs in Mängelberufe but even for them I’d need to study 3-5 years (including one year praktikum) so it means I’d be totally dependent on Jobcenter for a very long time.

I have no job prospects in my home country so if I return I’d be unemployed as well.

Of course I’m applying all over EU, but I only get interviews in Germany.

Was someone else in my situation , what to do
