Ich möchte eine Petition starten. Der Bürgermeister soll die Straße zwischen Implerstraße und Sendlinger Tor für private Autos sperren – für eine Stunde morgens und eine Stunde nachmittags. Man verliert einfach zu viel Zeit im Stau zwischen den beiden Stationen. Die Busse könnten so viel schneller fahren. Das wäre nur fair für uns arme Pendler, die keine andere Wahl haben als den SEV zu nehmen. Was meint ihr dazu?

I would like to start a petition. I want to ask the mayor to ban private cars on the road between Implerstraße and Sendlinger Tor for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. We waste an unbelievable amount of time in traffic between these two stations. Just imagine how fast the buses could go if they had the road to themselves! It would only be fair for us poor commuters who have no choice but to take the SEV. What do you think about it?

Ich finde es sehr schade, dass man noch an Menschen mit Behinderung und eingeschränkte Mobilität erinnern muss. Hoffentlich gibt es nach dieser Erklärung keine unnötigen Kommentare mehr.

Ich fahre demnächst für ein paar tage alleine nach München. Kann mir jemand ein paar gemütliche Restaurants in der Innenstadt oder in der Nähe empfehlen, wo man sich auch alleine wohlfühlt? Am liebsten deutsche Küche.

Außerdem suche ich nach einer Empfehlung für Burger oder Currywurst.

Hi zusammen,

ich muss nächste Woche vom Münchner Flughafen fliegen. Das Problem ist, dass ich am Abend davor wegen eines Termins noch 2,5h weit weg von München gebunden bin und deshalb nicht schon entspannt vorher in Flughafennähe übernachten kann.

Ich müsste also morgens relativ früh Richtung Flughafen fahren und suche deshalb gerade nach einer Möglichkeit, irgendwo kostenlos bzw. möglichst günstig zu parken und dann mit der S-Bahn zum Flughafen zu fahren.

Hat jemand Erfahrungen mit Unter- oder Oberschleißheim? Kann man dort halbwegs stressfrei für mehrere Tage stehen oder ist das eher schwierig wegen Anwohnerregelungen etc.?

Oder kennt ihr andere gute Spots entlang der S1/S8, wo man sein Auto für 10 Tage stehen lassen kann ohne direkt ein Vermögen fürs Parken auszugeben?

I’m visiting Munich and I’m looking for a place where I can buy or drink traditional coffee that is heated in hot sand (like Turkish/Greek/Arabic sand coffee with a cezve/ibrik).

Does anyone know:

A café or restaurant in Munich that serves sand coffee?

A shop where I can buy the equipment (cezve + sand heater) to make it myself?

Or a specialty coffee store that might have it?

Hey guys, has anyone else experienced this where a PŸUR agent comes home when you move into a new apartment in Munich saying that this building is now moving to optic fibre and make you sign an agreement by falsely promising that they’ll take care of the existing contract transfer?

A guy called Lukas from PŸUR came home asking which WiFi I use and I had a new contract from MNet. He said MNet will no longer function for this building after 5 months and everyone must move to PŸUR. He literally said everyone did it except me and made me sign the contract. I asked him thrice if my existing MNet contract will be discontinued immediately and he said yes.

Later of course I got charged by both and I contact the customer support and they said this isn’t true and they asked me to fill some forms for the transfer.

Now after 6 months I’m paying for both and the customer support is saying it’s not their fault and they aren’t supporting me anymore on this.

Does anyone know what to do here? I can’t pay for both for the next 1 year! I didn’t do anything wrong here but yet being scammed and they just talk to me like I’m stupid!

Is there a legal service who can support here? I can’t afford to spend more money on this anymore.

And humble request - please don’t go with PŸUR. They are such a scam in many ways!!!!

Hello guys! I'm an engineering student from Mexico, and I'm going to go to Munich for an exchange year at Hochschule München (HM). I'm very excited to go, and I'm still in the visa process and all, but I have some serious problems. I was hoping someone here could help me with ahha

So, of course, the first one is accommodation. I'm registered at the Studentwerk, but still, it is a raffle, and I'm preparing in case I don't win a room there, so I'm searching for a place to stay. Just in case anyone here has a spare room, could you DM me? I'm willing to handle all household chores in exchange for a place to sleep. I'll be out all day visiting the city and the surrounding areas and studying for my exams, but I can clean and mop as needed. I'm actually quite good at it, ahha (Of course I'd pay too, but if cleaning or helping around sweetens the deal, I'm looking for a cheap rent), anyways, do you know where I can find cheap places to rent? And how many months of deposit do people ask around for? I have 1500 Euros prepared. Is that enough?

Second is nature! I LOVE nature, going on hikes, and all of that. Do you know any good routes around Munich? I'ma big traveler, too. During the weekends, I plan to visit family in Europe and nearby cities, mainly wanting to go to Norway and Switzerland, so any tips for those places!?

Also, what about transportation? From what I've seen online, Munich's public transportation is pretty good, and I shouldn't foresee any trouble moving around, but are there different metro companies, one better than the other? Any routes or places I should avoid?

Lastly, what about food? Coming from a semi-tropical country, fruits and vegetables are not that expensive around here, but what I've heard from people that have lived in Europe those are crazy expensive there. Is that true? And what do you recommend for food?

Please keep in mind I'm going to receive only 992 Euros a month, which should be rent and groceries

What is the etiquette on swimming in the regatta in the north of munich?

Ich bin demnächst in München und da das Wetter sehr gut werden soll, habe ich vor, die bekannte FKK-Kultur in München kennenzulernen. Ich habe vor, gerne verschiedene Spots zu entdecken. Welche könnt ihr empfehlen? Dabei habe ich schon vom Englischen Garten, vom Flaucher und von Orten an der Isar gehört. Da all diese Orte recht groß sind und ich mich schon wo entkleiden will, wo andere FKK machen, würde ich gerne wissen, welche Spots dafür geeignet sind. Gerne natürlich was am Wasser und mit Sonnen- und Schattenplätzen. Bin auch offen für Plätze, auf denen FKK toleriert wird und viele angezogen sind. Das ist mir egal. Wichtiger wäre mir nur, dass ich nicht der Einzige bin und vielleicht auch andere in der jüngeren Kohorte FKK machen. Welche Plätze sind dafür geeignet und könnt ihr mir empfehlen? Was gibt es sonst zu beachten und was sind No-Gos? Wie ist das Klientel so, das FKK betreibt, vom Alter und Geschlecht her? Da meine Freundin sonst eher oben ohne bleibt, wenn Frauen weniger vertreten sind beim FKK. Oben ohne müsste ja überall kein Problem sein, nehme ich an, vor allem an FKK-Plätzen, oder? Die stille Gedenkfahrt erinnert an Radfahrende, die im Straßenverkehr ihr Leben verloren oder schwer verletzt wurden. An Unfallorten werden als sichtbare Erinnerung weiß lackierte Fahrräder, die Ghostbikes, aufgestellt.

Just got back from a two-week UK roadtrip and the cravings are real! Do any of you know a good spot for fish and chips - or even a pub that's not just mostly a sports bar and/or full of people getting very drunk very fast? (I do realise there's also lots of sports and drunk people in UK pubs, but they just feel much cosier than what I've experienced here so far.) Thank you!

Hallo, ich erlebe in meinem zentralen Stadtviertel mit Bewohnerparken täglich, dass dort zu einem grossen Anteil Menschen parken, die denken, es wäre gratis.

Die Leute fahren in eine Straße und sehen kein Parkverbotsschild, keinen Automaten und keine Markierung. Deshalb denken sie, sie könnten umsonst parken.

Den Beginn der Parkzone kann man kaum erkennen. Ein kleines Schild bei Einfahrt in die Straße oder ein großes verwelktes Schild drei Straßen vorher bei Einfahrt in die Zone (gerne auch mit Aufklebern überklebt) hilft hier nicht. Wie seht ihr das?

Rund um meine Straße gibt es 4 Parkhäuser in 0,5 km Radius, die vermutlich oft halb leer sind (außer Samstag Mittag), dafür finden Anwohner keinen Parkplatz.

Kontrollen gibt es regelmäßig, aber zu selten und an manchen Tagen scheinbar nicht.

Wer Böses unterstellen will: Der Erwartungswert für die Kosten vom Parken ist bei verbotenem Parken an der Straße niedriger als im Parkhaus.

Kann man das nicht endlich einmal ordentlich kennzeichnen?

PS: Wenn ich Leute darauf anspreche, weil ein Tourist aus Köln vor mir in die Lücke fährt, dann wird oft verständnisvoll reagiert. Die Leute sagen aber auch sie hatten keine Ahnung, dass hier Anwohnerparken sein könnte. In der Straße sieht man dazu ja nichts…

hi everyone! I learned how to play tavla during a trip to Turkey, but I do not have anyone to play tavla with, so I am looking for someone who would be willing to play with me.
