Unfortunately, every subsequent printing has been altered in some way, either through spelling changes or additions, to give the book a new copyright.
I would like to digitize and format the original text so that it can be shared and printed by anyone who wants to.
According to WorldCat, the library in question has the 1933 edition, and it is one of the few libraries worldwide that possesses it. If someone could acquire and scan it, or take high-quality photos (i.e., sharp and clear), I and many others would be very grateful.

I am visiting Munich from the 11th-16th of October. I grew up in Munich in 2002-2006 and am visiting for the first time in a while. I am taking my girlfriend, I am aware that I will have missed Oktoberfest (I was kind of avoiding it).
I am trying to look up if there are any local Volksfests going on in any parts of Munich during the week I'm there just to give my girlfriend a small taste of the German beer festival spirit. Any suggestions?

I have just tried the pierogi’s from Lidl and i love them. There must be better out there if the ones from Lidl impress me- i would keep on buying them but they only sell them on a specific week.
I would love a good recommendation for a store where i can buy them all year round. I love the meat ones and my boyfriend likes the ones with cheese and potato filling :)

Grüße aus Stockholm. Große Teile der Stadt, nicht nur der Innenstadt, sind weitgehend von oberirdischen Parkmöglichkeiten befreit worden, wie hier in Södermalm zu sehen. Stattdessen wurden Pflanzen, Sitzecken, Spielmöglichkeiten hingestellt, um sofort die Aufenthaltsqualität spür- und erlebbar zu vergrößern. Gleichzeitig gibt es ein großes Netz an Tiefgaragenplätzen, die mietbar sind, wenngleich nicht allzu günstig.
Warum schafft das Deutschland, insbesondere München - als vielleicht wohlhabendste Metropole des Landes - nicht?
Ich habe mal interessehalber recherchiert, was Stockholm in den letzten 20 Jahren alles durchgesetzt hat, mit hinterher hoher Akzeptanz der Bevölkerung (bei anfänglichen Widerständen):
- Stockholm baut seit Jahrzehnten riesige unterirdische Quartiersgaragen in den Fels. Autos parken im Untergrund. Oben wird der Straßenrand frei für breite Gehwege, Gastro und Bäume.
- Das Projekt „Levande Stockholm“ verwandelt jeden Sommer Parkplätze temporär in Oasen mit Sofas, Pflanzen und Cafés. Weil der Aha-Effekt so groß ist, wollen Anwohner die Parkplätze danach oft gar nicht mehr zurück.
- Bewohnerparken in Stockholm wurde drastisch verteuert und kostet heute rund 1.300 € im Jahr. Wer öffentlichen Raum privat nutzt, zahlt den echten Marktwert. Nicht 30 €/Jahr wie in München.
- Die City-Maut wurde 2006 erst sieben Monate getestet. Als die Staus weg waren, stimmten die Bürger im selben Jahr per Volksentscheid selbst für die Beibehaltung. Erst machen, dann entscheiden lassen funktioniert (erinnert auch an die Weißenburger Str. - nur an viel mehr Orten und weiträumiger als in München)
- Stockholm führt aktuell eine Zone in der Innenstadt ein, in die nur noch E-Autos und emissionsfreie Lieferwagen dürfen. Das nimmt dem Verbrenner im Zentrum endgültig den Platz weg.
München hat seit diesem Jahr einen neuen Bürgermeister. Glaubt Ihr, dass so etwas auch nur ansatzweise in München machbar ist?

I am getting married next month and want to make sure my hair is looking top notch for the big day. I usually just pop to one of the cheaper barbers in my neighbourhood, but the outcome varies depending on who I get and i have also had a couple of real disasters in the past ending up looking like a toilet brush. I know REWE do a clear plastic tub that they sell on the meat and cheese counter, no idea if some of those at the viktualienmarkt would be classed as good.

Bei meinen Eltern wurde mit unbekannter Nummer angerufen, ich hätte Dickdarmkrebs und noch 6-7 Wochen zu leben. Das Ganze ist inszeniert wie eine Theateraufführung, mit mehreren Personen in verschiedenen Rollen und richtig guten Schauspielern. Angeblich aus "Großhadern".
Die müssen richtig gut gewesen sein, meine Eltern sind eigentlich wirklich fit, was sowas angeht, stehen noch im Berufsleben, sind gut im Verhandeln, kennen viele Scams, kennen KI, etc. Zum Glück haben sie es dann durchschaut, als meine "Schwester" ans Telefon kommen sollte (sie hatten vorher behauptet, die wäre auch da), und es halt keine meiner tatsächlich vorhandenen Schwestern war.
IMMER bei der Person, beim Partner, usw. unter der bekannten Nummer selbst anrufen.
Laut Polizei München kommt das aktuell öfter vor.
Im Laufe des Gesprächs wird eine große Summe gefordert für die "lebensrettende" Behandlung.

Hi! A few days ago I asked on here if people still swim in the Eisbach even when the weather is not that great, like the forecast is showing for this week. I am still not sure about the answer, but in case I do get the chance to go swim, I would like to know where I can buy a waterproof bag for my phone (and maybe wallet, but not that neccesary as I can leave it at the hotel, but not my phone because I will need it for navigation). I do have a waterproof phone “case”, but it’s one that needs to be held in my hands (no strap) which I am not sure is the best option for flowing down the river. I saw people on videos with colorful waterproof bags.. Thanks!

I have popped into 15 or 20 stores since my time here, and I am only finding full length shirts, but all the girls I see on the street have the crop shirts that hit just above their jeans or their trousers. Since my torso is super short, those are perfect for me. But I’m not seeing any stores. Where can I find some of these?
Ich bin auf der Suche nach einem guten Restaurant mit hoher Qualität und würde mich über einen echten Insider-Tipp freuen. Über Google und Tripadvisor scheint schließlich fast jedes Restaurant gut bewertet zu sein, sodass die Auswahl nicht gerade leichter wird.
Da wir zur Weihnachtszeit unterwegs sind, wäre eine gemütliche, warme Atmosphäre mit schöner Weihnachtsdekoration natürlich ein großes Plus. Am liebsten wäre uns ein Restaurant in der Altstadt, das gleichzeitig auch für Familien mit Kindern geeignet ist.

I found this handwritten note in my bike basket this morning. The bike was parked on Arcisstraße in Munich, which may be relevant because the last line seems to mention the street. I don’t recognize the handwriting or know who left it, and I can’t decipher the rest.
Could anyone transcribe and translate it? Does it seem harmless, or is there anything concerning in it?
I am sure it’s probably nothing I just found it a bit creepy
Edit: just wanted to add this is not the first time I spot such a note close to my bike, but as the other one was on the ground I didn’t think too much about it. Therefore I also have no idea what it said, however I think that adds to my being creeped out.
