I would be lying if i said that i was looking for them, but when i saw the two in the bookstore i couldn't not get them! Now i can burn every illustration to my eyes 🫶

Let's see if i'll be able to collect the whole series before hiatus ends...

EP12–What was Hirose up to whole episode?

Well, EP12 is out and brought quite a sensation with itself. Please bear with me this second, here's my take on the things:

(This will contain manga spoilers as well which i'm gonna mark as spoiler text)

Hirose did tried to confess but not his romantic feelings to Nakamura but it's not that far from the reality either.

During a break between classes Hirose was already called out by Hana to meet her after school. This is backed by him telling Oomori they can't go home together because he got something to do. He went to see her as he was told (they already knew each other from the commutee), then Hana gave him choco and confessed to him, to which he responded "yes". Now i don't know what happened right after, but they didn't went home together. Rather, Hirose decided to wait at the gate for Nakamura, whom he "eavesdropped" to be leaving late due to work Otogiri sensei gave him (when sensei did that, there was only about 5 people left in the room, and it was Nakamura and Otogiri sensei; both of which Hirose is close to, so he 100% heard that).

He wanted to talk to Nakamura about getting a girlfriend and how he felt about it. Once they meet, he gathers up courage and first asks him if he got any chocolate to see if he has any similar experience he could find helpful. However, Nakamura tells him that's not the case, the air gets awkward and he says "I see"—which i want to take as Hirose feeling relieved to hear despite his intention to ask him about it. Nevertheless, he tries to bring it up again, but for some reason he can't, he feels extremely embarassed, then suddenly leaves as if he was running away.

After the weekend, him and Nakamura has some sort of distance between them, and he never initiates a conversation with him unless their eyes meet, that is, for the whole time Nakamura was depressed (we aren't sure how much time has passed yet but >!must be 1 month in the next episode!< ). I don't think we saw Hirose coming to talk to Nakamura without any excuse, so it's not out of character but in that time phrase, it sticks out.

So to me, it's obvious he's feeling something towards Nakamura (well it was since that one restaurant episode where he was all "Hey Nakamura" like another redditor in the sub already pointed out), or that he's at least somewhat aware of his sexuality but is actually in denial. From day 1, we know how much of a people pleaser Hirose is. He decided to become a "normie" to run away from social pressure. That's why he took Hana's hand and that's why he's putting some distance between him and Nakamura >!but it won't work since him and Hana are meant to break up!<

Next week, we might reach the "goal" of them confessing and getting together, like others said i don't expect them to stay friends since they're already past that. It also don't think it'll end with Hirose rejecting Nakamura in any way, he came a long way to discover his sexual orientation afterall. I'm anticipating for a happy ending for my boys (+ Hifumi my goat should find a gf and become the happiest girl on earth as well)

If EP12 will be focusing on what i think it'll be focusing on, then...

(Manga spoilers below)

Y'all do you think if next ep is about >!Hana!< and if ends up adapting whole chapter, maybe ending song will be >!Plastic Love by Mariya Takeuchi!< ?

Since Flyday Chinatown and Hatsukoi were already used, i was thinking they wouldn't miss to add another big CityPop hit like this one...and if they'd tried to add it before, it would feel off since Nakamura's love is geniune but we know >!Hirose and Hana won't last long!<

What do you think?

Less than 48h left for the screening and i think i'm going crazy lol

I can't wait help
