Musings on Hanako's plan with Akane in the elevator scene

While I initially assumed Hanako's plan in chapter 62 is to get Akane to swear obedience so he wouldn't cause issues with Aoi's sacrifice, I've seen arguments that Hanako's offer is actually for Akane to help with Nene's lifespan.

Hanako's behavior in this scene does him no favors if his plan is for Akane to help with Nene's lifespan. There's a good argument he could present to Akane about how Aoi would feel if her best friend died. It's also a fair deal, Hanako goes and helps out Akane's crush if Akane goes and helps out Hanako's crush. Being so vague about his intentions really hurts Hanako here if his plan is for Akane to help with Nene's lifespan.

On the other side, Hanako's decision to change his mind about helping Nene and Akane only makes sense if he's hoping to get Nene's favor by making it appear as though he cares to save her best friend. The issue is that Hanako plans on erasing Nene's memories of him during the severance (chapter 70). Why would getting Nene's favor matter if she's gonna lose her memories of him anyway? This means there's likely another reason Hanako wants a favor from Akane, which would be help with Nene's lifespan.

From this, my best guess is probably the option of help with Nene's lifespan as Hanako has a tendency to make himself sound more villainous than he actually is. Still, that doesn't answer why Hanako is so unnecessarily vague here. So here are my theories on why:

- Hanako is so scared of vulnerability that he's afraid to let Akane know that he wants to save the life of Akane's casual friend. This has some merit on the basis of Hanako's fear of vulnerability showing up when Nene's fate is originally revealed (chapter 27). However, Hanako is upfront to Shijima Mei about wanting to use her power to keeping Nene safe (chapter 51). So this possibility would've been likely if the elevator chapter had occurred earlier in the plot.

- Hanako believes Akane would refuse if Nene's lifespan were mentioned as the condition for the deal. This connects to my initial theory on why Hanako is vague since Akane would never go through Hanako's deal if it meant he didn't actually get a shot at helping Aoi. This issue with this theory is that Hanako doesn't even think Akane has it in him to hurt Nene as seen by Hanako initially assuming Akane's threat is empty in chapter 62.

- Hanako doesn't think about acting smart with his proposition because he misjudges Akane. He assumes Akane would go along with a clearly sketchy proposition instead of finding another route. This is likely because Akane has fallen for Hanako's other manipulation attempts. When Hanako gets Akane to kick him out of Nene's body, he figures out Akane's not a normal human (chapter 24-25). When Hanako drops a chandelier on Aoi, Akane falls for the bait and reveals himself as the present Clock Keeper (chapter 24). When Hanako pretends not to care about Nene dying, Akane believes him (chapter 27). This is the theory I agree with the most.

Little keychains I made and how to make them!

Ok these came out really cute and they were really easy to make!

Step 1:
Find any inspo you wanna use! For me I chose the chibi art on the official art books for the 1st one (aka the red one)

Step 2:
So for me I traced with pencil on shrinky dink plastic on the sanded side! You can fine them at Michael’s or Amazon (I would prefer Amazon because they come in bigger packs for cheap)
I would sometimes recommend sanding the plastic more just for an easier grip on the pencil! But try not to rub too much while tracing because it does smear!

Step 3:
I went over all the pencil mark with Posca pens which you can buy for normally 25-28 dollars at like Barnes and nobles or Amazon, and I normally press it down until some inc comes out and I go over the fine lines with a nail brush! You can also use a thin black sharpie but I use the is because it really smudges with the pencil!

Step 4: i just added Kou, Amane (which came out so good) and Yako with little Mokke :p

Step 5:
I colored everything in! I used hobby lobby’s Master touch colored pencils these came out really nice for me but DONT DO TOO MANY LAYERS IT WILL FLAKE!!!!!!!! I had this issue with nene and Kou but Amane and yako came out really nice and fine because they’re more simple color wise I really hope to redo them :(. I hole punched these and cut around it so it wouldn’t break and I wish I made nene and Kou’s smaller but if you have a nail filer or a tiny sand paper dril that does the trick too.

Step 6:
I baked these little bad boys at 350 in the oven or toaster and they do shrink up. I think I left nene in there for too long and she kinda burnt but if they wrinkle up DO NOT WORRY after a few seconds they should flatten completely. Overall these came out really cute I just need to add a layer of gloss. But please give me any tips I would appreciate it!

Is he recognizable?

This is the first time when I tried to replicate the tbhk art style. I tried to draw Mitsuba but I kinda fucked up with his clothes and legs 😭. Is he recognizable? Anything I could improve?

The Eternal Search for the Rarest TBHK Merch Ever (pls help me find it)

Ok, here's the lore. So apparently, to celebrate Season 2 Part 2 of the anime coming out last summer, TBHK partnered with a japanese jewelry maker to sell exclusive silver rings and necklass in theme with TBHK. Thing is, apparently, you could only preorder them for like a few weeks during the month of May, and then they were shiped to buyers in like, August of 2025. Since then, it has completly vanished.

Of course it was already too late when i got the money to buy some of theses rings ! For me, it has to be the best TBHK official merch we EVER had. Actual stylish silver rings and necklass you can actually wear anywhere outside an anime con.

It has been the only grail for me for many many moons now. Thing is, since it's initial sells, they are discontinued and i have search far and wide, i've never seen them sold anywhere. If i remember correctly, it HAD a worldwide delievery.

I mean come on, there used to be a guy here that would spam TBHK merch EVERY DAY, and your telling me thoses items vanishes into the wild ? Or that nobody bought some to resell ? I mean, i guess i would also want to keep it for myself, but damn ... I'll be ready to pay the price too !

So yeah, any information has to the whereabouts of thoses will be highly appreciated ! If we make this a team effort, surely we can find a few in the immensity of the internet, right ? :')

I like how in this panel..

Tsukasa and Hanako's eyes are like each other's. Like usually Tsukasa's pupil are situated in the centre of his eyes, but here they look similar to Hanako's. While Hanako's look like Tsukasa.

Interesting detail I noticed (pictures are in order of appearance in manga)

Until chapter 64, Akane only refers to Hakubo as “that supernatural,” even after learning Hakubo’s No. 6.

Do you guys know who's in charge of the Wiki ?

Insane art i just had to share it ... Anyway, small question ! There used to be a time where i did know one of the person that was in charge of the TBHK Wiki. They were really good-willed and helpful and often offer people to help in their efforts ... It's been month tho, and i don't know who it is nowadays, or if they are still active !

Are they still around ? Is it multiple people ! I'd like to help the effort since i saw many things were either outdated, or sometimes incomplete ! No stess tho ^^

If you guys have any info please tell me !!

Are the Clock Keepers REALLY Akane's "second familly" ?

One thing i enjoy the most in the TBHK community are the discussion of themes of morality, that are often centered around a few major moraly grey divisive characters, like Hanako, Teru and Tsukasa, mainly. But recently while making a video about them, i thought ... What about the Clock Keepers tho ? Because here's the thing.

Everywhere i go i keep hearing about how people see the Clock Keepers as being this wholesome cast of characters, and especially from the point of view of Akane. Which is, i believe, mainly due to how much of a chill relationship Akane seems to have with them, and particulary in content outside the main manga plotline (like in extra chapters one shots, official arts and so on), but also how they interact within the confines of the story.

A LOT of people out there seem to "kinship" (if i use that term correctly) Akane with Mirai and Kako, like if they were some kinda of found or second familly for him. And i see this so much that it kinda makes me feel like this is a shared sentiment in the community. While i believe wholeheartedly that it coudn't be farther from the truth.

I'm pretty certain Akane secretly HATES both of them. And he has every reason to (expect for one but i'll talk about it later). Did we forget that Akane became a Clock Keeper because he was forced by Kako and Mirai to do so ? Not only did they make a 11 years old Akane make a brutal choice between either watch Aoi die or pretty much sell his soul to an evil ghost when he didn't even know such things existed, but they also CAUSED the incident, while trying to actively KILL Aoi.

Like, i think it is kinda weird that some of us try to see the Clock Keepers as Akane's surrogate family, because we know how evil they are. We know that Mirai, while she might seem cute, is only a souless robot which mischief actually killed Yashiro before Kako reversed it. And we know how distant and manipulative Kako is.

I think it's a bit odd to try to argue the cyber-ghost that enslaved Akane at 11 yo, changing his life forever, arguably for the worst, and who tried to kill his lover, while also telling him that if he does not obey them with their plan to litteraly change then entire world to a New Timeline where -added to other things- his lifetime lover that he actually manage to conquer, is now bethrothed to his best friend they would just throw him out of the window, and find somehow we can do the job, is actually caring and emotionally important to him.

Now, i don't think Akane himself was ever mentionned to have been or became aware that it is Kako and Mirai who actually orchastred all of this. Surely tho, now he must know, right ? He has seen how Mirai and Kako operates. When Mirai goes on a rampage in the school, making windows explode like when Aoi almost died.

Would he even remember that ? I think, but i'm not sure. Anyway, i'm fairly certain he implied that this happens a lot. My reasoning is that, for me, Akane just act the part when he's around them, bidding his time. After all, he HATES Hanako for being a murder. And we saw that he has been to Kako's Innermost Boundary, so he probably knows about how Kako puts the souls of people who tried to mess with time in dolls FOREVER. Is THAT any different, or even worst than killing a human ?

I have a strong feeling that Akane just do what he's told -untill he finally go against Kako in the lastest chapters- but do not trust Kako a single bit. I mean, if he did, why didn't he NEVER called him or relied on him to turn back time when Aoi was in danger, for exemple ? Again, if the Severance was such a problem to him, why didn't he ask Kako to reverse it after Aoi got trapped there ? They could have gone to his bounary. Probably because he knew he either didn't care, or woudn't do something to help him even if that mattered to him. In context, Kako would likely have preferred Aoi's sacrifice. For me, he already knows about the plot.

Partly because it's very unlikely Kako and Mirai will survive this current ARC has Clock Keepers, as their Yorishiro will most likely get destroyed at the end of it. And if you know some of my theories and predictions, you already know i believe Akane will be the one to betray and destroy both Kako and Mirai after Yashiro comes back from the Past, and him from the New Present Timeline.

He's the only one than can physicly do it (Mirai is out of the question, Yashiro can't allow herself to destroy one anymore, etc). He's the character that would add the most emotional weight to the moment. And again, he has all the reasons in the world to want to take revenge upon Kako, AND nobody will know better than he and Yashiro how dangerous their power is, and how safer the entire world would be if Akane took their place forcefully in order to be the only one to control time instead.

I don't know, maybe it's a hot take ! I don't want to stop people to have fun with this trio, or act as the fun police, but i still find it morally questionnable to try to see thoses characters has been very close, while Akane is a victim of them (mainly Kako) in every single way imaginable. Again, in the New Present Timeline, Kako let him die against the Entity, and when Yashiro told me, he didn't seem to care more than 1s.

So yeah, do tell me your thoughts about this down below ! Maybe i'm alone on this :)

Which school mystery power would you choose?

It’d be a tough choice between Shijima and the Clock Keepers—but I think I’d go with Shijima’s power.

Just draw the most ideal world you’d want to live in, jump inside and Bob’s your uncle.

Which character would you want a spin-off of?

It can be a comedic spin-off like ASHK or a side story to explore them more. It can be a prequel. Anything you'd want to say. Which character would you want to be given this opportunity and do you have any ideas on any specific scenarios or ideas?

Personally, if we went with the comedic route, which seems redundant considering ASHK, I'd want a spin-off with a complete focus on the sunflower trio as their dynamic is the funniest part of TBHK for me.

I'd personally love either a prequel of Teru's beginning years of becoming an exorcist or a present day side story that explores the exorcist world and his current standing in it and his many encounters with dangerous supernaturals. I'd also just love a spin-off dedicated toward wholesome family fluff of the Minamoto siblings and their daily lives and domestic scenes as I adore the siblings to bits and always smile when their bond is displayed.

What are your ideas?

How do u think Nene’s death will occur? And do u think she will actually die?

Nene has a short lifespan and is supposed to die in just one year but how, when and where she will die is still unknown and a mystery (unless it’s already said in the story and I forgot about it). What’s your theories on that? And what are the chances that her death will actually happen in the end?

For TBHK Content creators : How to deal/avoid with injust Copyright claims

Hi, finally back for a more cheerful follow up to my last post ! Today i will tell you everything that i know about navigating the intimadting world of TBHK content creation, in order for you to able to know how to avoid, fight, and appeal any form of official claim you might receive, even tho your TBHK content falls under Fair Use ! ^^

[ON YOUTUBE]

Obviously, this is the platform i have the better knowledge of, as it is also the one where you are the most likely to get targeted out of nowhere. First of all, the rule of thumb is that as long as you are not monetized, you're basically safe as long as you make transformative content and do not litteraly try to upload entire unedited scenes of the anime -or, as it can the happen- the entire anime. Cuz that's just piracy, and that's a whole other thing.

Also, the safer type of TBHK content you can make on Youtube is, in order, animatics and edits. Because the first is the most transformative you can get, and the second mainly exist on short heavely edited format. And btw, shorts have rules that are way more linient regarding re-used content, music, clips, etc.

You are allowed to use any OSTs from the anime, or any copyright music for that matter, as long as the video isn't monetized. On shorts, you can be both monetized and use copyright musics ; again rules for shorts are differents. As for clips, again they have to be heavely edited (for exemple, mine are safe and the videos themselves never got taken down despited getting nearly a millon views in total).

Youtube has different types of copyright claims ; demonetization or shared revenue on the video (pretty rare and again, you have to be monetized so i won't talk about it) regular claims and strikes. Regular claims are mostly automatic and interverne when you upload a video, and the Youtube bot flags parts or the entiery of your video. This one is mostly harmless because you can learn to avoid it, and you just have to modifiy the part of the video that got flagged for you to be able to post it.

The strikes are the important one here. They are either manually sent by the right's holder, or are the result of a copyright claim that you try to challenge, in vain. 3 of thoses strikes will ban your channel permanently and you will not ever be allowed on Youtube back again. You have a 7 days grace period to act when you're a Youtube Partener, btw. If you're not, i think you might still be able to challenge strikes anyway, because while you are challenging them you also have a grace period. From my experience, the strikes are super random and can be sent on any of your TBHK content. Again, i got one on a 11 seconds shorts meme that displayed one official Aidairo art for like 3 seconds of it.

The reason you WANT to fight thoses strikes (and by that i mean every single one of them, no mater how many you already got), is that if you get banned of Youtube, you might be able to create a new channel right away, but Youtube will eventually find out and ban you again. It's only a matter of when, not if.

And you CAN fight thoses strilkes, and appeal them to lift any one of them. When doing so, Youtube will try to scare you with some strong legal language but you should not be intimated by it. Basically, how the appeal work, is that you first send a justification as to why you believe your content is Fair Use. Youtube has to accept it (from my experience, they will almost exclusively do so if you use AI to write a very formal message in US legal terms because i'm almost certain they are also reviewed by AI, which is crazy but moving on) and then, you just have to wait 10 days to win.

Why ? Well basically because this is technicly already a legal procedure. The rights holders have 10 buisness days to pretty much give Youtube a proof that they are suing you over this strike, which will almost never happen (unless you made litteraly thousands of dollars of this video, then maybe). Basically, 10 buisness days is too little time for even a Japanese black company to act in that manner. Also, they will never come after you for the little money you video made (they are no giant TBHK Youtubers as of now). And also, if you are outside of Japan, you're pretty much untouchable legally on that front. They will NEVER come after you. So, after 10 days, you win, your strikes are lifted and your channel is accessible again ! :)

However the best way to avoid you ever get in this situation to begin with is to : try to avoid using raw unedited uninterrupted clips without anything else on screen as much as possible, prefer using fan-arts or fan-colorings of manga panels rather than direct official art from Aidairo (use the ones that allowed reposting preferably), and try not use part of Aidairo's cover and official arts as avatars or profil pic, banners etc. Again, prefer fan-made stuff ! Same for thumbnails. And above all, of course, all of your content has to be transformative.

[ON TIKTOK]

I know less about TikTok, but what i do know is that this platform usually do not care, in that matter. Never had any issue on there, never had any content remove or anything, so it seems to be pretty rare. Some people did get affected by the ban-wave recently. TikTok usually just remove your content or suspend your accounts without any justification other than very generic stuff, and appeals are neither useful or possible. From what i know, their staff might as well be 100 % AI.

However, again they don't really care, so you just have to create a new account if that does happen to you, which again, is rarer than on Youtube. My advise is : do not trust TikTok. Have multiples accounts at the ready, you can even upload the same content on there, just so you don't restart at 0 IF you even get banned.

Most content on TikTok tho, are usually either animatics, edits, drawings showcase or talking about the series, so in that format it's fairly safe content anyway. Don't be scared to post, althought again, you should not put your faith in this app.

[ON PINTEREST-TUMBLR-X]

All the feedback i've receive from people i know who were affected by the banwave on Pinterest and Tumblr was very positive. From what i've heard, their appeal system is very good. People got their account back, and the ones who didn't were only thoses (from the people i know) that didn't try or had already created another account. Apparently, that doesn't mean that they won't ban you first on the spot if they received a complaint from the right holders.

However, from what i've been told they are very understandable, most of their appeal staff are human, and they are ready to hear your side of the story. If not, they won't chase you around anyway. You can create another account no problem. I think their leniency is mostly due to thoses platform not being monetized (from what i'm aware of) or massively commercialy oriented.

As a piece of advice i'd just say save your art outside thoses platforms just in case, do not hesitate to appeal if you do happen to get banned, and absolutly do NOT delete your account yourself out of fear if the right's holders contact you directly via mail. I'm also pretty certain they are all AI anyway. Remember that you are never doing anything illegal posting fan arts or even manga panels and memes on there !

As of X, like TikTok i would not trust them on anything. Again, they just don't care. They will ban you pretty much if they want to, i don't know about their appeal system because it seems pretty vague, and knowing the platform i'm certain it's either ineffective of totally ran by AI. Also, as a personal advise, if i were you, i would avoid X like the plague. If you are not already aware of what a cesspit it has become over the years, you're definetly about to discover that. So yeah, avoid if possible. If you choose to go there anyway, again, you can make alts in any occassion, they won't hunt you down so it's pretty chill on that matter i guess.

Also i don't know if i mentionned this already, but any decent Alt account should be make with a different e-mail and a different IP (using a VPN, some are free) than the original account, of course.

[ON AO3]

I have been told excesively that Archive Of Our Own is "A non-profit, non-commercial archive for transformative fanworks; created by and for fans of books, music, art, games, shows, movies, real-person fiction (RPF), and other fandoms". On this point, i want to apologize for being uneducated about what this platform truly represent in my last post. I thought they were a platform like any others, big corps that barely cares about the individual users ; they are NOT.

Basically, they do NOT ban people even if real DMCAs are involved. They will FIGHT tooth and nails for you as it is the ENTIRE point of their website and their Organisation behind it. I've talked to someone who's way more knowledgable with this platform, and apparently they will go as far as go to COURT to protect your fan work from being claimed by any right's holders. So this platform is TOTALLY SAFE.

So please, do NOT DELETE your works on AO3 because you received a mail directly from the right's holders. Would it be real or not, you have NOTHING to fear. They are just trying to intimidate you. They will NEVER take any legal action against a transformative fan work that is non commercial when they don't even know who you are. Because even if they would want to, they just can't.

So yeah, that's about it ! Hope that it does help some of you guys, and untill we meet again, feel free to ask any questions down bellow ! Good luck on your adventures, and never forget : DO NOT BE SHY ABOUT POSTING ! Creativity, art and passion goes hand in hand with your love for this community, and you are not alone when trouble do arise ! Cya soon ! ^^

Tiering characters based off fighting ability vs power to figure out which one is a more preferred metric for ranking character strength

After reading through this, please share which metric you think fits better.

Power:

Highest tier of power:

The pit gods. They have the ultimate ability: granting wishes. And that’s not all. There’s absorption and the severance and all the cool shit done with the house and time travel.

Second highest tier of power (in no specific order):

Shijima Mei. She can clone herself, create anything, and trap people into very difficult-to-escape worlds.

Kako. He can go back in time with either big clock and alter the world and fate. He has less limitations on his time powers compared to Akane and Mirai. He has more implications of extra powers besides them too.

Third highest tier of power (in no specific order):

Mirai. Her time abilities are more limited than Kako’s, though she still has the same main timeline altering ability that Kako has.

Akane. His time abilities are more limited than Kako’s, though he still has the same main timeline altering ability that Kako has.

Hakubo. He can cause the severance. He has other abilities too, which help push him up here, though the severance is the main one. It’s an insane feat to split the supernatural world off from the human one.

Fourth highest tier of power (in no specific order):

Hanako. I am counting him sealed only because the abilities of his unsealed self are unknown. While he lacks crazy feats (wish granting, creating worlds, changing the world in a massive way), he makes up for it in how many abilities he has.

Natsuhiko. Immortal + blood deadly to the vast majority of supernaturals.

Fifth highest tier of power (in no specific order):

Tsuchigomori. He has the ability to do one crazy feat of changing fate. The issue is he’ll die if he does it so he’s here.

Yako. School mystery.

Mitsuba. School mystery.

Original No. 3. School mystery.

Tsukasa. While he doesn’t have a boundary like school mysteries do, he does have Hanako’s very varied power set so he’s here.

Sixth highest tier of power (in no specific order):

Teru. He’s a good fighter, but this is about power, not fighting ability. When it comes to power, he can make big blasts of lighting and do the spell on Akane’s glasses. Don’t get me wrong, that’s still strong, but it’s relatively weak compared to above in terms of power alone.

Kou. Can do big blasts of lightning, which is cool and all, but still on a lower tier than the ones listed above.

Fighting ability:

Highest tier (in no specific order):

Teru. Most of the school mysteries are terrified of him. He beats Hanako without much trouble.

Tsukasa. Keeps beating school mysteries in their own boundaries.

Hakubo. Only lost a fight because the other guy was so much weaker that he let his guard down. Random fodder supernaturals are actually scared of him.

Pit gods: They do a good enough job of fighting with their tentacles. They defeat Teru inside of their own domain in every timeline Teru fights them in. Unlike the other loss in supernatural’s domain that Teru has, this one seems to be more related to fighting ability being responsible for the win either in part or in full.

Second highest tier (in no specific order):

Hanako. Every time he goes up against Kou, he embarrasses him. Good at defeating fodder supernaturals.

Mitsuba. He managed to kill twenty small fodder in less than five minutes.

Akane. Good at defeating fodder supernaturals.

Yako. Put up a pretty good fight against Hanako inside her boundary.

Mirai. She hasn’t fought, though she has fighting-adjacent scenes where she does a decent job due to her speed.

Shijima Mei. Good at embarrassing Kou.

Third highest tier (in no specific order):

Tsuchigomori. He killed a fodder but is also said to be bad at fighting.

Kou. Do I really need to explain?

Fourth highest tier (in no specific order):

Kako. He doesn’t even fight.

Original No. 3. Went down incredibly quickly.

¿Am I the only one who wants an arc about Hanako's Haku-joudai?

Ever since I saw them reacting—or acting—like sentient beings, I’ve been curious about whether they might be more than just extensions of Hanako's power or something like that. I mean, I’m sure they’ll never have THAT level of importance, but I certainly wouldn't complain if it happened.

Ask me any questions you have about the Clock Keepers

I just really want to answer questions. Also my answers are all under the assumption of consistent characterization.
