Not ruining the clutch in lessons

PLEASE FOLLOW RULE 5

Hi I am interested in learning stick shift. I have found a person who is willing to teach me in their car(very confusing story, difficult to explain, long story short they're willing and know how to drive stick well) My mom's main concern with letting me do this(we know who the person is and there's no safety concern there) is if I ruin the clutch. I know how to drive automatic transmission perfectly fine. There will be an instructor in the car to teach me stick, and if they say stop or something I'll be able to follow that. We'll obviously start in parking lots and empty roads.

My main question: Will I ruin the clutch of this person simply from a tiny mistake? I have researched online and it seems like the main issue is an idiot by themselves stalling too long. I'll watch videos and respond to any instructions immediately and competently.

We ideally do not want to mess up the clutch because we'll have to pay for the fixing. I want to prove to my mom that simply learning with a person who knows stick shouldn't be an issue. Any links to articles or videos would be greatly appreciated.

Getting over fear of Coronado Bridge

Hi there! Let's just say a friend of mine has a fear of driving over bridges, and since we live in San Diego, the Coronado Bridge is at the top of their list. They want to get over this fear, but it's been difficult for them. Does anyone know of support groups in San Diego or reputable therapists who could actually help them with this? Exposure therapy would definitely be very useful to solving this issue. If anyone else out there has this same fear, please respond or DM me so I can meet other people nearby with the same issue.

Edit: Please don't respond if you're going to be negative. Respond if you actually have something helpful. Trust me we've tried to resolve this issue and driving is a serious issue to have a fear of.

Why is McVey still getting lots of minutes?

I feel like he has no urgency on the ball, constantly is making the wrong decision, especially the own goal against Minnesota last year, or just expecting others to cover for him, not to mention all the red cards. Liability defensively especially because you'd expect him to be the calm presence defensively based on how we signed him. Just don't understand why he starts so much and even though he didnt start yesterday he gets subbed on to protect the lead last night and almost gave it up. What are your guys thoughts on why Mikey still wants to start him? I'm open to other opinions but those are my thoughts.
