Jotul 445 ash bin - big enough ash bucket??

We just had a Jotul 445 installed. The ash bin is 13.5" and I can not find an ash bucket big enough to fit the entire tray in. We ordered an ash bucket from Amazon listed as 14.5" but it was only 13.5". All the recs I've seen on here are also for bins smaller than that. And the 6 gallon steel buck (Behrens) is also too small. What are people using?! Thanks :)

Damaged cedar siding

We just purchased this house. It was built in 2005 and I think not stained since then. Painters are all over the place with recommendations. We realize that semi transparent will not hide all the damage but we really would prefer to keep the natural wood look, even if the damage shows through. Each product one painter recommends the next says the complete opposite. Thoughts on how to proceed? Thanks!
